Multi Time Frame Indicator

Hi Guys, I know it's been a long time since I've been around, but I've been ill and now suffer from seizures which has limited my trading capacity to only the most basic systems due to my inability to concentrate on more elaborate systems.

As a result, I didn't trade for approximately 18months - 2years (I lost my job, we had to sell our house, I'm not allowed to drive, I'm now on a disability pension and currently typing this whilst sitting in a pyschiatric hospital where I come for a week every month for treatment on my brain. It's amazing how quickly and easily life changes.

It was a nurse at this hospital 12 months ago somehow managed to inspire me to take up trading again, so I had another look at my MTF strategy http://www.stevehopwoodforex.com/phpBB3 ... =16&t=3827.

I purchased a new laptop so I can follow my trades whilst in hospital, however it is Windows 10 and one of the indicators I use (multi moving average) http://www.stevehopwoodforex.com/phpBB3 ... p?id=39228 won't attach to the chart (it's only .mq4 and it won't compile).

Steve, I know I should read the effing manual but I just don't have the mental capacity to figure it out (I have tried)....so I respectively ask if one of the selfless and gracious coders on this forum would be able to help me by seeing if the indicator can be adapted to Windows 10.

I have simplified the strategy even further so I can manage to trade it, so if you read the thread as it is I don't know how it is/would have performed all this time. However the even simpler version I have been trading on my Live account has produced approximately 41% cumilative profit over the last 12 months and I barely have to look at it, which is about all I can manage.

Steve, if my request is unacceptable, that's fine...I appreciate all the previous support I've been given over the years.

Hi Shelley,

Sorry to hear about your personal struggles, but good on you to get back into Forex again!

I have attached the modified version of this indicator so that it compiles on the current version of Empty4. (I haven't replaced the Russian text in the extern parameters -- as I had no idea what they mean).

Hopefully this will do what you want it to do.

This appears to be exactly what I need....I didn't havea good afternoon/evening yesterday, but was just able to attach it to a chart now. I'll need to wait until I get home to compare with my Win7 machine but it looks good to me.

I thank you sincerely for helping me out so promptly...you have no idea how such acts mean these days.

BTW, in the time I wasn't actively trading, my Live account still had trades running that were open when I fell sick. I didn't know what I would find (I was expecting a busted account), however my account was still plodding along...yes it was in the red due to neglect but still viable. I have been slowly bringing it back to life. A good lesson in trading lot sizes that let you sleep at night or in my case ignore for nearly 2 years.

I wondered where you had gone.

I'm in Oz atm on holiday (we're from the UK) and down in Cronulla, our daughter has just had her first baby and our first grandchild.

I remember you telling me that you were from Cronulla and named Shelley after Shelley beach, I was there yesterday and thinking of you. It is a a beautiful spot.

Guys, Shelley was one who stepped up to the plate for me during a difficult time in my life. I am not mucking around; it was a really hard time for me.

Please, please give Shelley every help and support you possibly can. People do not get any better than her.
