I am looking at three strategies:
- The three upper bars must align
- The three lower bars must align
- 3 of 4 bars must align
I like the idea of trading
when the three upper bars align as a filter and enter and exit trades on the LTF upper bar.
One could also enter on the upper LTF bar and exit on the 2nd level slightly higher time frame as it is a trend following system .
Should this happen? The red dot (red down arrow) has disappeared from the second screenshot. There screenshots were taken by Steve's EA 'Holy Graily Bob'n Thomas' and were taken when the new candle opened. So the red dot disappeared after the candle closed.

This is the way I trade it , with promising results. The only thing that would make this better is probably an ALERT that would sound on alignments.
But still a great tool that has all my attention !!

Sorry I don't understand that Thomas. I've read the manual previously and just read it again. And I've read many posts here about it. On page 34 it says "c. However, if you don’t change the time frame or turn the Empty4 on and off the symbol will stay." I didn't change time frames or turn Empty4 on and off.

As I have written in post 1, the indi refreshes its history at a given interval. Refreshing in this context has the same effect as changing chart timeframe forth and back for HGI. You always see the actual state and not old signals that are no more valid. I had a version that kept all those old signals - it was confusing.

No. You can manually set the lowest of the 4 timeframes, the others will then be the 3 next higher ones. But as stated in post 1, the indi will not display timeframes lower than the actual chart timeframe.

No. You can manually set the lowest of the 4 timeframes, the others will then be the 3 next higher ones. But as stated in post 1, the indi will not display timeframes lower than the actual chart timeframe.
