Long time
This is why I like the daily timeframe. If you have 24 pairs looking for a breakout of the previous days high low.You are bound to get it right somehow. I dont believe that 24 pairs will give you a false break out. So far I have been lucky enough to close a basket of not less than 100 pips profit per day. It could be good to have a basket profit in this Ea as I have been doing it manually. For now, I have been closing all trades towards the end of day. It is very likely that after the breakout and breakeven setting that you will have some runners with nice profit. I have been getting beween 5 and 10 trades per day.It would be unlikely to have off setting for wrong direction trades if your settings have BE and JS, e.g. if there is a long trade after breaking previous candle's top but the market falls, and breaks the previous candle's low and a short trade is placed, but due to BE / JS, the short trade may be closed earlier and the trend carries on with bear run, offsetting will not work in this case, therefore the long trade will be openly unattended at a big DD.
The only way is not to set BE / JS and use MTPM to basket close for all trades when overall target is met.
As you correctly say, the problem of course lies when trades go against you and you have some trades left behind and building a bigger drawdown. This especially happens when you have Doji candles iow a small range and indecisiveness. Complex Single sided offsetting should sort this out if you have runners with a retrace back in the direction of the trades left behind. Trust me it will be so. Perhaps I should look at decreasing unbalanced positions to 2 seeing it is the daily timeframe. When there is intent in the market your trades will run. Breakeven being taken out on the daily time frame after a break out is a good sign for you to get out anyway, so I will not do away with this. Using Mptm is a good way for you to to look for a basket take profit and something I am doing manually for the time being.
Stoplosses are a personal choice and be free to do it the way you wish, but post you results and your settings. For me a basket stoploss might be the way to go.
Cheers
