BTW: I'm still using 1e, since the later ones didn't enter the recoverytrades for me.
Because I was happy with the version I'm using, I didn't bother to tinker a lot to try to get the later ones to work.

This untill I reach the original TP-level.
I find this hard to understand
If you put your new pending where you took profit, you would only get continuation of the original trade, minus your new entry costs
Or do you mean that PoS is placing the new pending order automatically and at a better price?
Fxfoil was talking to me about spacing pending orders and he wrote the following
" I believe it will be vastly better if instead of the default 100/2 consistently creating a pending every 50 pips, adding extra pips to the previous pending, as well as using a divide /3 will expand the distance between each pending, and increase the retrace required to fill it.
Most times two or three pendings are all that are required. However if the initial trade is going to travel 2000+ pips and has several mini retraces of 50 pips, then many pendings will be filled with account destroying potential. Expanding the distance between each pending as well as increasing the retrace distance back to the last pending will reduce the number of filled pendings until a genuine trend reversal occurs. So far my worst initial trade traveled 900 pips into dd with only one other pending filled until the trend reversed."

Yes, since you are trading so many pairs, and with some of them being correlated, it is probably better to stick to 1 TF.Gertje » Wed Dec 20, 2017 7:47 am wrote: Lately I'm looking more at the D1 chart then the H4, with good profit.

Ok 1e is fine but it would have been good to fix the later version.Gertje » Wed Dec 20, 2017 7:54 am wrote:BTW: I'm still using 1e, since the later ones didn't enter the recoverytrades for me.
Recovery is very important so we should try and make it work.
Manual recovery could work too.
I occasionally intervene in my own EA's and assist in trade recovery
For this reason I always add trading buttons to the EA's I trade live.
For example, I recently added trading buttons to the Awesome EA ( I don't trade it live yet, but I will from next year) http://www.stevehopwoodforex.com/phpBB3 ... 02#p158502

I have been testing 1f for over a month, the results are good except its large drawdown from time to time. I started the current demo only on M5, M15 and H1 since Dec 7 which is performing well. However, in the last two days, it starts to show repeated trades taken (sometimes as many as 10 trades) at the same time, so far it happens to M5. Enclosed is a screen shot of the situation.
I have reviewed my settings but could find anything abnormal. Any help would be highly appreciated!

The thing is that in order to bank 400-500 pips in a single trade, the floating profit goes up and down like a rollercoaster. When banking at said interval, I get at least the wanted pips, plus the additional when [not if] a retrace happens. The entry costs are negligible in my opinion.
To aid my explanation, see below picture.
At the blue boxes there are multiple trades banking 75pips at the same level, where a single trade from the bottom to the top would have been floating, earning nothing.
Good for him, so many traders, so many styles to trade.Fxfoil was talking to me about spacing pending orders and he wrote the following

I [try to] limit the DD by dividing the pairs in groups depending on their 6-th distance. IF a pair respects its 6-th limits, then I get 3-4 recoveery trades.
Recently, I found out they don't respect the limits at all...
After switching the focus to the D1, the performance improved. I recovered from 40% DD after that.
For me reason enough to keep the focus on the D1 chart, and trade in the direction of that and making use of the retraces to re-load the pendings at levels that already TP before.
Remember, this is a live account....

Are you running the latest version?
If yes, try the earlier version 1e for now.
Gerje kindlky provided a copy of version 1e some pages back.
Perhaps take a known set file and modify it.
If you do use Gertjes set file, there is an error in the lot sizes,
From memory, I believe one of the time frames has a fixed lot size and the other one is variable.

I'm using 1f. I'll try to run 1e and if in parallel to see if 1e has the same problem.

Hi Gertje
Thank you for your post, now I see what you are doing.
You are right, we all have our own style of trading.
However, now I'm a bit confused as to what is needed, so I will go away and think about it.
Regards
Bill

Now I have more clue of what is happening. Version 1f, in the case of M5, opens a buy or sell stop every 5 minutes at the same price level, so if the price is hit, all trades will be hit at the same price. See attached chart. Not sure this multiple stop order is placed as intended in the coding.billv » Wed Dec 20, 2017 7:02 pm wrote: Hard to tell what your problem is.
