My Aw 1m v1 still in profit just survived a massive drawdown again I have started a new version Aw 1r v4 to limit the pairs traded to GBPJPY,GBPUSD,EURNZD,EURJPY,NZDUSD,USDJPY as these have been the most profitable and changed gaping to 30 from 20 and gap trades to 6 from 9

I think over exposure in any 1 currency is a problem the huge drawdown was mostly JPY

Here is my $3,000 demo, now 8 weeks in, using Dclay H4 PeakHiLo, trading .01 lots. Default pairs, in fact, everything default. Traders Way broker. All trades are automatic, no manual intervention. It's been fun to watch.

The CHF pairs started opening 30 business days ago and are slowly cooperating, but AUDCHF still has yet to sort itself out. That was the source of the first big drawdown you can see from the chart. My equity came back up nicely until last week, to almost 14%, when JPY started upwards and I went onto a drawdown which briefly took my equity into negative territory. Friday, much of it bounced back to leave the equity at 8.85%

I have been running several demo’s of the fantastic offerings on SHF since joining in August and I would like to thank all the contributors for the help and advice received. I have changed my broker to Global Prime (excellent so far) and hope to grow my account with them. I’ve also had a couple of tongue lashings from Steve so now feel im a fully interactive member . The information on the site is honest, truthful and free with nothing hidden which is really refreshing, and the experience of the members is second to none so you would be a fool if you didn't take on board their comments.

Anyway enough of that back to Awesome which is currently my EA of choice, although others will be investigated over time. I initially ran with the Dclayw setfile on version 1m which I named as

V1 (53.3% drawdown 0.97% gain/day)

as you can see its performed well but drawdown was over 53%!, im manually reducing the drawdown atm and still managing to make impressive profits. I will keep this running as it’s a great way to learn how this bot works. Btw I changed to version 1r about half way through with no adverse effects.

I realised the gap filling feature was a significant factor in drawdown and experimented with several demo accounts and have now found .....

V5 (6.6% drawdown 0.9% gain/day)

Although its only been running a short time I am confident enough from the information ive gleaned to be running V6 as my first live account and will report on progress. Thanks again.

Great results c1borg.

Awesome is also my choice at the moment. But as you say the dreaded drawdown can spank hard. My Demo using ver 1M was up 97% and now flat

Have upgraded to 1R and all good. Achieved 10% gain this week on live a/c. Leaving it at 5 pairs max 15M chart and plan to manually intervene but have not needed to at this stage. Will post set if happy with the long term results which ultimately can be the only true test.
