Hello Steve,

New test set up based on your set above, only using H1/H4/D1/W1, all pairs running 24/5.

M5 test now stopped.

V 1e is in post 1. From the updated user guide:

Whole position Basket Closure: this is treating all the trades belonging to HGB 'n T as a basket and closing them at our chosen profit target. There are two forms:
- Equity increase target: this is the feature I described earlier in this document. You can only use this if you are trading only HGB 'n T on the account. Turn this off and use the basket features if you have trades from multiple sources, including manual trades. Remember also that manual trades have a magic number of 0, so if the EA is using the same number then he will consider that he 'owns' the manual trades as well.
  - UseEquityTargetClosure: turns this feature on/off.
  - EquityIncreaseTargetCash: this is your equity increase target. The target equity is (Saved equity + EquityIncreaseTargetCash).
- Basket take profit target: this closes the basket at our choice either of cash or pips:
  - UseBasketTargetClosure: turns this feature on/off.
  - BasketTargetCash: our cash take profit target. A zero input turns this off.
  - BasketTargetPips: our pips take profit target. A zero input turns this off.
- Stop trading after basket or equity closure: these apply to both equity and basket profit targets.
  - StopTradingOnFriday: this tells HGB 'n T to take no more trades on a Friday if it has made a successful equity or basket closure. We can be 'flat' for the weekend and resume trading on Monday.
  - StopTradingOnSaturday: as above but for our cousins in Upside Down Land.

HGBT closed a basket at a small loss this morning; I realised why after a few seconds thought:

I have long-term manual DFC-inspired trades that will probably complete their cycle some time in the mid 2030's.
HGBT is doing his thingy with a different magic number.
The DFC trades are altering the equity all the time:
- DD dropped quite a lot this morning.
- Equity rose equally quickly.
- It rose far enough to reach HGBT's equity increase target so he yelled, "Yippee, time to party" and closed all the trades he owned. Idiot.

Use the basket closure if you are taking trades from more than one source. If so, you MUST give HGBT an individual magic number.

I have loaded the new version and get the following when trying to run it? Not being a coder, I'm not sure if this is something in the set file, on my system or in the new code?

See the "%" in the file name? They should not be there. Your browser has inserted them where there should be a space. Redownload and take more care with the file name. Don't know whether this will solve your problem but it hasn't occurred here so I do not know what the problem is.

Your browser has replaced the "Holy Graily Bob 'n Thomas multi-pair" with "Holy Graily Bob %27n Thomas multi-pair." Google Chrome is doing this - I just checked.

I am facing the same issue every time I change the inputs and click on OK.
The workaround I found is to save the settings to a preset file before accepting the changes made in the inputs, then the EA triggers that error and is removed from the chart.
I just load it back this time loading the presets saved, and it works just fine.
It may have to do with the lack of data due to new demo platforms, I forgot to run the history script this time.

I am using Chrome, but have corrected the filename and still get the same problem?
I then download with FireFox and still get the same problem?

I am copying a .set file from the previous version, could that be causing the problem given the observations from Yannis?

The EA will stop working if you use the F7 key to change inputs.

As a general rule with EA's, you should load up a fresh instance and make changes to that rather than using the F7 key. EA's do not always re-initialise properly.

The time display is there to show that an EA is still running, not because I think you guys do not have clocks. Check from time to time that the EA has not stopped.
