I am making pips by using 10.2 range-trading signals: trade only in the direction indicated by the monthly pivot; trade the bounce off R2/R1 or S2/S1 depending on the volatility group, or the cross of the daily pivot. Hardly anything is trending on the D1 right now, and where it is the H4 flatly contradicts it.

Here is a thought guys. If upside-down Shelley had tried her idea out this week instead of when she did, her trades would have gone nowhere and we would not all be here now.

Spot on Steve. The original Shelley basket was a happy coincidence similar (but more controlled) to a trend system I had put together which has taken 1200 pips in 2 days. I maintain CurrencySlopeStrength is the best indicator I have found telling when to stay out of basket trading ie the lines converge within 0.6-0.4.

Phil_trade, I may be mathematically fluent but have not been trading very long. I did complete the whole Babypips Pipsology course -took weeks - but learned the DEFINITION of a PIP. 1/100 of a cent. It is not really up for debate and, to me, the sooner people forget the arbitrary 'points' of brokers the better.

If I see Shelley (variation) trade 3 days per month, use real $ volume and add 23% to my account, then we are up 1200% / year which is a little better than my superannuation (retirement pension) which went down 4.5% last year.
Let's celebrate what an excellent system we have here when used prudently. It is a winner!

PLEASE NOTE :
A correction to any use of the PipFactor function.
PipFactor & PFactor (function) must both be declared as "double" not ""ïnt".
A quirk of MQL in integer division. MPTM now works throughout using this function, adjusts and shows correct pips.

Reading the above comment you made regarding CurrencySlopeStrength, do you think that this should be added to S and SS as a "KeepMeOutOfTrouble" filter? Currently using SlopeConfirmationTF = 60M which did keep me out of the bad trades so far but I believe will not be as reliable as the CSS indi.

Thanks Zypip, I found Bob & Steve a few weeks ago looking for a good trade manager and trend filter. Anyone can put trades on and often make profit.
What kills you is the consistent little losses. I have learned the successful ones minimise losses FIRST.
A ''fiddled'' CurrencySlopeStrength gives me an average of the Absolute averages of the slopes!! When that average is only 0.09 it looks like the eye of a EUR storm. Chance it and pick a direction or keep well away.
The CurrencySlopeStrength H4 picture looks like the compressing of a spring. I would not chance an EA on that. Hit the ExpAdv button.

You guys do realise that there is still a problem with the rapid opening/closing of orders thingy, and that I have yet to solve this?

Just making sure, that's all. At some point, this will re-emerge. I know this, because it happened on my demo.
