Would be nice if we could trail the basket and stop trading after 1 basket close (if the basket is closed during that day).

I tried some trade managers, but could not get it done

Take a look at page 9 and the first post (from pandaboy). There he shows how to do what you want.

No that's not what I mean. I'll try to explain more with an example.

When the basket is in profit, say 1% (or 0.9% as pandaboy mentioned) then set a stop loss at 0.7% (the basket needs some room to move) and trial the basket by adding steps of 0.1% to the take profit.
This way we might maximize the profit of the basket when trading according to C1borgs strategy.

I will try it with the old MPTM, will keep you updated

hey all

I'm using a very slightly modified version of c1borg's v3 settings on awesome SS v1b and setting a daily profit target of £29 on a global prime demo.

This may be a good problem to have, yesterday I came home from work to find a profit of £189 and a message that profit target has been hit for the week (weekly profit target is £150). i have attached the setfile, can someone take a look why it didnt stop at £29? (i am aiming for slow and steady/consistent wins the race :D )

thanks, trader

Ok another successful week gone and still 100% but... I notice my V3 is now taking longer to close the 1% target. The last 2 trade closures took nearly 2 days each. Notice the length of the last 2 orange lines compared to previous ones.

So what can we glean from this information? Well my conclusion is we are reaching the limits of the achievable tartget for 1 day closures of 1%, which happens to be around the $1000 equity.

I actually watched live the EA get to within $2 of target and then reverse only to come back and hit target 2 days later. So to counter this we either lower the target to perhaps 0.8%/day or increase our lots, trades/dollop. The trouble is by reducing our target we will eventally hit the buffers again some time in the future, so to me this is the wrong option. I have started 2 other demos in the past with much lower equity than $500 and they are succesful but will also probably struggle near $1000 equity, so with this in mind I have changed the trade /dollop of 0.01 tradesize to $500, which hopefully means the EA will trade 0.02 lots at anything more than $1000 and 0.03 at $1500.
Gonna stick my head on the block here and say it worked like a dream :clap: didnt seem to struggle as before to hit the target and closed in tandem with my live account which has a lower balance :smile:
Hi, would like to know whether u also run awss into live or using copier from demo to live? I am using copier to live and i hve set copying only trades that get hit and nothing from pending

I was also a bit worried over the lotsize/balance ratio and you have hit on a good solution, by making setting 0.01/$500. If i am reading/understanding it correctly for a balance starting from $1000:
=======================================================================================
from balance $1000-1249.99, lotsize=0.02==> you still have to contend with slightly higher % than 1% as it slowly moves away from $1000 :| although the "gap" is more "narrow" now
lotsize=0.02, balance $1000, 1%==>$10
lotsize=0.03, balance $1300, 1%==>$13
thus, from $1000-$1249.99==> its $10-$12.50 (coz its currency its rounded up in Empty4), this is 1.25x or 25% increase (from $12.50 vs $10 still at 0.02)
(Thanks to Gertie for this explanation on lotsize ratio)

I would go for a smaller gap as it allows AWSS to work its magic more and not "struggle"

PS: For those who wants it to be 0.02 with 0.01/$500 from $1000-$1499.99, you can consider alternative of using a copier from demo running AWSS with this setting and setting "lotsizingalwaysrounddown"=TRUE to your live account

Yes its a duplicate setup atm live and V3 both full auto. Lot size has been fixed in V1c thanks to Steve. :smile:

:?: if not mistaken it will now do this calculation for setting 0.01/$500 for 1c
$500-1000=0.01
$1000-1499.99=0.02
$1500-1999.99=0.03
$2000-2499.99=0.04
....etc
jumping "$500" not using the formula
Current balance / dollop x lotperdollop (default rounding up)
eg, $1300/500 x 0.01==> 0.02 (default rounding)

or rather current balance / dollop x lotperdollop ROUNDING DOWN)
$1300/500 x 0.01==>0.026==>0.02 (ROUNDING DOWN)

A smaller gap might get better results when using the rounding up method to reach using larger lotsize, but also brought with it higher risks. Any votes? But this is now a setting we can sink our teeth into
