Thanks Steve, and I'm well on my way. Two months into a live account, as of today I'm up 35%!

How?

The reason I ask is this. If you have been keeping up with events here then you have seen how I have grown Gareth's account from its nadir of c. $226 to its current $666 plus a positive balance on its current basket. I never really expected the account to survive back then and was happy to refund it and start again. Margin levels under 300% were common. Doesn't matter when the account started with $226. Would have been a tad on the different side had the account started with $226,000.

Did you do something similar, or did you start with a better funded account?

On a side note because I know there will be people here starting to care. We have been putting PJ's lesson money into a tin towards his Cambodia trip. This along with profits from the trading account I am running to fund the trip has added nearly £600 towards the cost - and still 12 months to go before we need to pay for the trip.

I saw PJ today for the first time for a few weeks this evening - he has been taking his GCSE exams and so has been a tad on the busy side. Despite being busy, he has managed to gain some grants from local charities. Added to birthday and Christmas money that it turns out he has been saving for years, it transpires we are a third of the way towards raising the £4,000 he needs for the trip. I will make up the difference if we fall short this time next year, although I doubt we will. He is going to Cambodia.

My other job is always special. Sometimes it is very special.

Steve my live account started on the 6/6/18 at £531

Originally I set it to take £1 per £50 which it did with no effort but I heeded your warnings and dropped that to £1 per £100. Today two baskets closed and my account now stands at an impressive for the time it's been trading £654.77 That is just 14 trading days. A profit of £123. Truly truly amazing. :hi:

This is all starting to look really good. People are stepping forward with live trading success. There is only one true test of an EA or trading strategy and we are it.

I'm live trading this also, started on a $300 account made 50% in 2 weeks and then took the $150 out. left for another two weeks and it was up another $150. Moved brokers to GP as my previous broker was making me frustrated and so far it seems to be all good, another $75 week last week. so all up in 5 weeks I've averaged $75 (3 baskets) per week. if this continues it'll be a very profitable year.

This week I increased the basket from $25 to $30, I had noticed many of the trades stayed profitable after the basket closure so it should not impact negatively, and hopefully it'll just be a case of 3x$30 closures. I've got tests running for the trailing stop as I'd ideally like to move the basket closure higher and follow with a loose trailing stop. looking forward to seeing the results which of course are going to fxtestify.

I appreciate the efforts of everyone to make the EA a success!

Just a word of caution arkhonic

I am running ootb (0.01 lots on all pairs) and sitting on -$660 DD at the moment.

Anyone else experience such DD.

Cheers Richard

I had a "large" draw down of about about 20-30% heading into the weekend, but the EUR baskets ended up closing last night with a profit for me. It's one of the reasons I took 150 out, essentially I've now only risked $150 of my starting money on the EA and I'm fine with losing it should it come to that. I admit I do get nervous when margin % is under 300, but that is part of running a small account. once I hit 1k, the margin % should be more palatable and I'm already thinking about scaling and how that will affect the balance and DD. Ultimately I'll probably aim for dollop of 0.1 per $2500 moving forward, and should the account reach lofty highs I'll assess on the way up. I do have another small account running POS, it's been a quiet two weeks running it live so we'll see how it goes.

interestingly I had no JPY crosses open last week at all, most trades went through were EURAUD, EURCAD, EURNZD with maybe 1 or 2 trades elsewhere. Not sure when you started trading as opening time of trades/ stop entries may account for the discrepancy, or maybe I'm just lucky.

I started with a $3,000 account and as of today I'm up $1,066. Looks like my first basket closed on April 30. The main settings that mostly contribute to the growth is using $1,250/dollop at .01 lots/dollop, $30 Basket TP/dollop. I think I started at $1,000/dollop for the first couple of weeks, then changed it just to be a little safer and not overextend quite as much. Also, FkMinimumMarginPercent=1250.

Maybe a few other minor changes to OOTB, like Friday closing hours, but that probably didn't have much effect. I also closed a few baskets manually, probably because I was watching it all too closely and started getting cold feet.

That last basket closed this morning at $123.82. It should have been a $90 TP, but it looks like the basket trailing stop paid off.

After 6 weeks or so, I saw that EURUSD was under-performing, so I pulled it from the pairs trading. Printing the latest Trade Report today, it also looks like EURGBP, NZDUSD, USDCAD are candidates for removal. Not sure how that would affect the basket though.

I wanted to get into the testing group, but due to personal goings on and a finicky computer it wasn't the right time, but maybe I could get something in this week. Also, I keep fiddling with the settings.

Thanks Wallywonka

Been running the setup so long not sure what the original default settings were...

If the H4 versus H1 makes a large difference that would be a great find. Maybe Thomas and Rene's database can compare.

Would be great if people that are struggling with SPB would also upload their data to the database as this would be valuable information

Hello all:

Here are my results for small account live test.

First I began with a small global basket of $15, but then I followed Steve advice regarding Gareths account changin the basket to $30
But then I began playing with an individual basket profit of $10, global basket at $30, and it reached a gain of 156.9% in 4 weeks.
I was impressed, but also afraid that I have been playing with fire!!!
So, I returned my live account to only a global basket of $30, and will continue testing the individual and global basket setting only in my demo accounts that are part of fxtestifty coordinated testing.
I have seen impressive results from test sets combining individual and global baskets from Sdek4x, Woodlands, Acostaf and others on the coordinated testing site fxtestity.

As I have told Steve and Thomas, I am very grateful for the community and developments you have built on this forum. I have been a silent member with the intent of learning and contributing, and have learned more from this forum that any other forex site on internet.
We should all donate our first live basket to this fourm, and help in any way we can, so that this forum continues to be a virtous circle.

Regards,
Peter Redboros
