You need to understand TDesk now that SPB is compatible with it, so to run the latest versions of SPB you will need the TDesk.mqh You are missing out monumentally if you have not tapped into its potential yet. I have written a 'getting started' guide at

I see that a lot of people have looked at my TDesk getting started post. Gertje just sent me a pm telling me I had inadvertently described TDesk as an indicator. It is in fact an Expert Advisor, something most of you will have sussed by now.

Sorry about that. I was sober at the time, so no idea what I was thinking. That makes the huge assumption that my vague mental processes can ever be described as "thinking".

I finally got out from under the GBPJPY drawdown which began at the end of July. My dollop settings were a bit too aggressive, ($1,250.dollop) but my account had enough capital to survive, in spite of a bunch of .03 lot trades being taken. I don't think my margin level never got any lower than 650%. While the descent was going on, and SPB kept adding trades, I did close some trades manually, helping with the DD situation. You can see that, as the rise in my balance as the DD was hitting the skids. Last week, as the GBPJPY gained steam, it was nice to see my account return to normal. Last Thursday it was close enough for me and I closed it all down, leaving me with a satisfactory position, about $100 above my equity last July. Whew!

Today I’m changing SizeOfDollop to $1,500. Still maybe riskier than Steve recommends, but I think it will work for me.

Hello Folks,

I've been running the SPB V1.v since 23rd Aug on a VPS provided by Eaymon. Been running fine until just a few mins ago (15:24 UK time). All my trades got closed and the pending trades got deleted by EA. Has this happened to anyone else?

I don't have basket trading enabled and don't use stops.

Fortunately I am in profit but could have been a lot better.

@Priyesh, now that you mentioned it, I also have a version running on a VPS since May 2018, the last orders taken were September 29th and anything open was closed Oct 1st, since then, nothing... I will check my settings and the logs but I don't recall having seen any issue.
Just for the story, the (demo) account was opened with $1000, no open trades currently, balance $1800

Hi Priyesh,

Yes unfortunately I can confirm that I olso have some problems. This morning I found two of my Empty4 closed and I have a big loses real money because of this.

Hello Priyesh,
Don't forget SPB could close all trades friday if you are in profit (or with a little loss) getting flat for the weekend.
Check EA configuration and read EA user Guide for more information.

I have 4 SPB EA running (1 live and 3 demo) without trouble.

Can you specify if Empty4 platform was closed or if was still open but trades are closed ?

I have 4 SPB EA running (1 live and 3 demo) without trouble.

Can for hell tell me anyone how you can lose money closing positions? You have lost it long before. Your running account is EQUITY, not BALANCE !!!
