Hi Guys,

Just something I need to add when it comes to hedging. Bob always used to say, "We hedge if we want to turn on the brakes and make an informed decision at a later stage". He is absolutely correct, for me there is no better informed decision when our indicators line up again. Very difficult when trying to do this manually but with Thomas's dashboard it has opened a clear vision and a path forward. If I have a 70% winning edge I can only see this as a winning strategy. There has been alot of trend changing news in the past two weeks which certainly has caught me unawares and made trading difficult. I must say however, that I still have almost 4000 pips banked.

Here's my approach to using TDesk 2.1 matrix with Leon's TDesk template, living in Los Angeles (so no hedge, also FIFO and NFA rules apply, too):

- Trading all 28 pairs with OANDA broker (they have o.k. spreads, no commission, but swap applies, the other available broker - Forex.com/Gain Capital - has insane spreads), trading on demo now to get a grip on the rules

- ENTRY: solo signal 100% AND multi signal at least / above 40%
- EXIT: at basket 500 pips total OR following the 70% rule on individual pairs (three flat signals or 1 flat and 1 opposite signal or 2 opposite signals)
- RE_ENTER: when the signal is still valid for ENTRY rules

- Initial Stop-loss: 50 pips (it's based on my observation, usually exit signals occur around 5-40 pips, so 50 pips seems to be enough when I cannot watch the TDesk at night), also, since I cannot hedge I think I have to live with the initial stoploss, but I hate it....

- Trailing: i'm using a jump trailing at every 50 pips (first 50 pips profit-jump to breakeven, 100 pips profit-jump to 50 pips with the stoploss and so on)

Yes, this approach stick you to the screen totally - but that's how I can fight against the bullshit idiotic rules in the US...…

...and as like Leon said, this week / last week was kinda iffy, but overall I'm up to +750 pips closed profit with about -200 pips closed loss - overall +550 total profit.... I also missed another nice basket at one night, when I couldn't check the trades and I decided to not open anything nor stay in any trades for the night.

Isn't it so great????

Here's my result for the end of this week.

I'm using the amazing TDesk version 2.4 but trying to remain true to Wavegarrick's system (for now) and just entering on a 100% solo signal. This is actually the result of the last couple of days and I have been truly astonished. Yesterday I gained about 800 pips and today a little over 200 (just let it run through NFP). I've only just started out with this (Wavegarrick's) system so this is in no way representative of how it might continue. But bloody hellfire it feels good!

I've clearly been overtrading with my lotsizes but I'll moderate them and get a better idea of where they should be next week. I was down to about 400% margin- way too risky.

I have been thinking about getting a bit griddy on my entries. I've just entered at the market price as soon as I get that 100% signal. However I've noticed that you often get this signal after a strong move in the direction you're going to trade. After entry most of my trades go backwards for the first hour or so because of a retrace. With a Buy/Sell Limit order grid I might be able to take advantage of this retrace. I will also pile in there with a market entry at the current price, I'd just have the grid to supplement this order if it moves backwards.

I'm thinking about using the Multi Signal values for exits. When these turn south then it really is time to be getting out. I'll experiment a bit with these ideas next week and promise to report back.

Thanks Wavegarrick for sharing your system. I know you're keen for us to get out there with other indicators and be creative with our own systems. I will do that but I just need to get the hang of TDesk first and your system is helping me in that endeavour.

Thanks Tomele for this whole TDesk thing. It is pure genius; your brain is actually quite scary. This is the best thing I've seen in several years of trading.

Lately, I have come back to active trading with a focus on H1 triggers with H4 and Day confirmation and in the middle of this Thomas unleashes the beast TD Desk and you have shared your great trading work for 10.9. The timing of all this couldn't have been better for me. Use of the MA cross of the Day Stoch was very clever and I also really like the 10 period MA tracking the Day Stoch.

So I have adapted my approach to yours and this last week I gave it a good go trading manually on 17 pairs. TD desk makes this amount of trading possible I have never manually traded 17 pairs before!

Results are very good for first week 1100 pips closed, largest DD was 120 pips, 65% success rate and losses limited to under 50 pips and I think I can do better as I get more familiar with it. I stretched a few of my rules this week to try some things and also missed a few exit points being away from the computer.

Here is report I will follow up with some screen shots and explanation of some variations I use.
A huge thanks Leon to you and Thomas for such great work here, making all this possible. This week was testing on demo but I think back to my live account next week.

The variations and setup:

With an eye to future automation via TDesk I am testing manually a few things in variation to your setup. They are:
1) which day H4 filters are most useful when
2) how to stay out of consolidation or chop
3) how or when to be confident entering reversals
4) how to refine H1 entries and especially exits assuming strategy is to constantly take money off the table versus trade as basket

So along with your set-up, I am looking at TD RS-X on both H4 and Day, the H4 signal is pretty sharp and accurate, but at this stage I use it for exits with discretion not automatically.
I have removed the H1 RSI from your set-up and replaced with a favourite trigger indy I use - Ehler's
Fisher Transformation which does three things; it confirms trend direction with a cross of zero line, its slope up or down which shows turn points incredibly well, and lastly it shows intensity via its distance traveled above or below zero line.

I would love to have a TD version of the Ehler's Fisher Transformation indicator, but I got a little hung up trying to do the code as I would mainly be interested in the slope signal but there isn't a buffer set up to do this in the indy and I am hopeless at coding - hopefully one of the gun programmers will come to the rescue here.

I have attached here two charts which I think are self-explanatory as well as a screenshot of my TDesk.

If there is any interest I will happily post details of my template and template file, but I don't want to muddy the waters of this great thread. A last comment when evaluating a trade entry or exit what I really like about this is if I combine your rules Leon with the Ehler's Fisher Transformation I can be really confident of what I am doing. Also your practice of 'checking' H4 and Day charts is a big help. Sometimes the H4 picture screams enter...........thanks again Leon

Yes by all means try this method and let us know how it goes. I often do this manually by entering my second trade when my first trade goes into 20 pip or so drawdown. If the market moves back in my direction I close the first trade with 15 to 20 pips profit and let the 2nd trade run with my basket. By setting buy and sell limits you can do this in a more structured way.

I like this indicator. The 1hr Rsi indicator is sometimes too responsive and can get you in too early. I am definitely going to give this indi a spin. Thanks for sharing.
Would be nice if we could have this indicator compatible with TDesk.

TD desk makes this amount of trading possible I have never manually traded 17 pairs before!

I agree 100%. On a good day I could manually manage up to 10 pairs with alot of stress

I would love to have a TD version of the Ehler's Fisher Transformation indicator, but I got a little hung up trying to do the code as I would mainly be interested in the slope signal but there isn't a buffer set up to do this in the indy and I am hopeless at coding - hopefully one of the gun programmers will come to the rescue here.

Attached is a semi-converted version. It only shows in TDesk whether the indi is >0 (green up arrow) or < 0 (red down arrow).

I would need to understand indi code to create something that measures the slope. I don't, so I can't.

I figured out a rough and ready way of demonstrating the slope direction. There are two columns now:

• EFS: whether the indi is sloping up or down (S = "Slope").
• EFV: whether the indi is > 0 or < 0 (V = "Value").

I have added a new input to the list - CandlesBackToMeasureSlope. This looks at the value of the indi CandlesBackToMeasureSlope back, defaulting to 5:

• Value now > value then: slope is upwards.
• Value now < value then: slope is downwards.
• Value now = value then: no slope, so the TDesk column will show the 'flat' icon.

It would be the work of seconds to add a minimum slope value to tell the indi to send up or down signals, or flat if the slope is less than the minimum. Sing out if you would like this.
