I just realised there is a better way of calculating the slope direction - look for a swing high or low in the ind's values. I have looked just at the buffer1[] values for all this:

A swing high means the indi is sloping down.
A swing low means the indi is sloping up.

For the purposes of this calculation I have used one bar as the 'head' and two for each of the shoulders - a 5 candle pattern.

Thanks guys. I am going out to do some teaching in a few minutes and coding this has saved me from learning more of that blasted musical.

I am coding an EA for pipcruiser so I added the indi to his template whilst doing the conversion of EF to make it TDesk compatible.

Selecting TDesk's open-all-charts option with the default delay of 0.3 seconds caused Empty4 to hang and the only way to get it to run again was to use Explorer to navigate to the default profile and delete all the charts.

I just tried again with a delay of 1 second and everything loaded OK. It looked as though the platform had frozen again but suddenly leaped into life after about a minute.

Just bear this in mind folks, if loading the indi onto all 28 pairs.

Left alone exelent programming , great looking dashboards, easy charting (all respect) but the real thing is a working algorithem.
I don't believe my eyes. Please confirm.

No, it is never that simple. We are merely trading an edge. Sometimes I do get it wrong when my signals are confirmed. I do have between 65% and 70% success rate with this system.

You would have to look at the template for manual trading for you vizualise the system in real time. I have posted examples of what I look at subsequent to post 1.

Since then I have moved on to TDesk and I act on an overall arrow signal.

Hello Leon,

Thank you for the kind words! I'll keep posting every time i find something or i have any adjustments!

One question: when you close a basket and there are still full / valid setups on the Tdesk, do you re-enter those position or after you close the basket, you don't trade for a while? I mean you closed pairs as part of the basket, but some of those pairs are still showing strong entries, do you care? I'm wondering with your experience, which way is better to choose?
