I only trade with Global prime. Best honest broker
Have MPTM loaded. every function works flawlesly

Except SuperSlope hedge.
I have all autoclose trades set to false.
Every time a hedge opens, it closes immediately, over and over, as if the autoclose is switched to true.

for 2 days I have tried to sort it out, read, and tried not to bother anyone here, after reading the warnings.
If I get banned, I understand, however, I have read the effing manual, and most of the MPTM threads going years back.

Thanks for your impressive FREE product, and I'll use it even if I cant work this out.

I read the post you deleted earlier.

It is easy to get code wrong so there may be a bug. MPTM updated is yet a relatively unused EA.

Do me a favour please. I am preoccupied with Desky at the mo. Live with what you have for now and send me a nudge to look at this again in a fortnight. I will have a lot more time then to sort this out.

Yes, I discovered what I had missed, and I was asking the wrong question.

The problem remained, the symptom seems like its a autoclose thing, but I know nothing. Yes I will be using what I have, its pretty great.

The latest version is in post 1 with what I think is a fix for the instant closing of hedge trades.Try it out please, and sing out if the problem recurs.

Thanks for taking the time to update MPTM, it's a very useful tool for managing our trades and improve our money management...

Query: Do you have a plan to include an option to select set/move stop-loss to BE when TP = ATR to this code? so that BE is dependent on the volatility/ATR of the currency... and not just a fixed number of pips?

I see the current options are:
- Pips to break even
- Pips profit to lock in...

I see the option for using ATR is currently available for setting TP and SL.

If there are no plans at the moment, I'll modify the code slightly to fit my requirements - I see you are busy with Desky at the moment... keep up the good work!

Side note: I'm experimenting with TSL manually and seeing whether ATR would be a beneficial option to set in 'Number of Pips to trail' - I'll probably replicate and modify the UseCandlestickTrail code... if I choose to use it my trading system.

Done. From the updated UG:

• ATR breakeven: this allows you to use ATR to calculate your break even point:
  • UseAtrBE: turns this on/off.
  • AtrTimeFrameBE: your time frame for the ATR calculation.
  • AtrPeriodBE: the number of candles to use in the calculation.
  • AtrShiftBE: when to stop the calculation. 0 means now. 1 means the close of the previous candle. 2 means the close two candles ago etc.

It is a simple DIY so you can keep your own hard-wired inputs:

Thanks Steve for taking the time to implement this request...

Nice thing about MPTM is that I can experiment using HGI or SuperSlope as my exit Indicator, and now use ATR to calculate my TP, ST, BE and etc...

I'm sure this will also be a useful feature to have in Desky as well... when I and others plan to automate our own strategy using ATR as a tool

I'm currently using TDesk to process my confirmation indicators... and will use MPTM to manage the trades I enter... we'll see how it goes... :youknow:

Suggestion:

It would be nice if MPTM could have a global closure SL based on pips or percentage OR a SL pips or percentage on the shirt protection.

Reason it would be nice is that it could be used to manage SL for basket trades . The old MPTM, going back a few years, had this option but doesn't work now days probably with all the Empty4 updates .

I am not eager to start adding basket functions when there are successful basket managers available.
