Hello everyone. Leon, I can not understand your trading logic or the logic of your settings - on one script you have one and on the other -? And the pattern in general ???. WHERE basis? :youknow: :youknow: :youknow:

Hi Margo,

Firstly you will see that Baluda ss in not part of the TDesk signal. In essence I do not use it in my trading system here. It is merely for reference purposes to check if a trend may be in a slowdown. The moving average overlay in the baluda ss indicator window is a check for me to see whether we are either in a slowdown or a reversal situation. Ater the 9th of October we had 5 days of retrace with EurUsd and you will see that Baluda's daily ss turned green therafter. I would have gotten out of any sell trades and at the time we did not have Steve's Trading partner Ea. On the contrary I would have entered buy trades. To cut a long story short. Baluda's Ss is merely a tool I use to close trades and look at the overall trend.
Since the inception of Steve's Trading partner Ea I have updated the latest setfiles which I posted and with the use of desky Ea I have not manually intervened and did not have a need for it yet, but trust me there will be a day thay that I will intervene. For now my indicators are turning in tandem with Baluda's Superslope and Steve's Ea doing the opening and closing of trades individualistically. I still have to have Baluda's superslope for visualisation, because not having it, is like sending me to war without a weapon, if this makes sense.
If you are testing this system rather look at overall results than trying to analyze why I am using a pattern or logic and the basis of it. I have gone into detail in my manual Hgi thread, with the use of these indicators so I suggest you go there to get a better understanding. I use things for a reason and hopefully others will utilize these tools as well rather than trying to follow a system blindly. If not suited for you I suggest you try another system.

Cheers
Leon

Hi Guys,

Just to explain a little bit of my vision with my setup. I do not profess to have the Holy grail and as I said it is a new project. I have attached a picture of Eu to show how my set up works. Tdesk will show a buy signal when my indicators line up. It does not include Baluda's superslope, but from what I can see, is that it is curving up. I have highlighted the indicator window. I am happy with this setup. In a way this is a contrarian setup and something I have learnt from the naked traders and the reason for me exploring an indicator that can in some way simulate naked trading..

For this test I am not closing trades manually and will let Steve's desky Ea handle it. If my system gets it wrong I will take the knocks. However I am bound to get a good run at some point. My idea is to keep this running without intervening manually. My profits are small but my overall basket matters. I have attached a picture to show what I am talking about. I have 469 pips in booked profit for the week and 1182 pips in floating profits. My hope is to grow my floating profits steadily and have a steady growth of bite sized chunks in profits booked.
It will feel at some point that profits vs losses equal out but this is where I say that you need to stick with it. When the moves start the pips will grow exponentially.

Hope I can clarify any confusion.

Have a great weekend.
Cheers
Leon

Hi Guys,

Just a little update on my setfile posted here. Nothing to write home about. Still a good enough week for me, however I am seeing flaws which I am working on. The Beauty with TDesk is that I am seeing an overall picture which I have not seen before and the more I look at it the more I am able to create a path forward.

Hope to post updates in time to come.

Cheers
Leon

You are a long way from being alone in this. I find myself wondering, "Is TDesk really only just over seven weeks old?" It feels like we have had it for ever.

Read the effing manual, ok?

Afterprime is the official SHF broker. Read about them at https://www.stevehopwoodforex.com/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?p=175790#p175790.

I still suffer from OCCD. Good thing, really.

Anyone here feeling generous? My paypal account is always in the market for a tiny donation. pianodoodler@hotmail.com is the account.

Leon, what a great point. I just came in from a job on the road, took a look at my tdesk screen, saw a tiny profit, but more importantly, saw no pair on the chart at 100 on the plus or minus side for solo signals, nothing happening at all on the Super and Multi Signals and thought, "It's time to close these trades!". I'm pretty dense, so it's taken Tdesk for me to be able to look at one screen and say, "There's no reason to trade right now."

Stunning work by all of the great minds here, as always!

Amen on the commentary of adjusting to a TDesk world of trading. I have 6 tests going right now and I am focusing on exits and trade management initially trying to get to the point of live trading one of them. This week turned into a study of "flat". I have managed to confuse myself a number of times and blamed Desky or TDesk for this (of course) but kept digging. There may well be bugs still lurking but I will focus on my mistakes first I think. The lesson for me is to be absolutely sure what I am doing with each signal possibility TDesk makes for each setup - this is key and not so simple really as what matters is how they affect the trade in different PA situations. Most often it has been me not quite getting the set-ups right or understood. Flat has often been a burial ground of EA's and now we have ways to tackle this, I will be sharing some results in due course I hope once things settle a bit. Many encouraging signs and many thanks to the brains trust working here.
