Experimental version

• Slopey Peaky Bob.mq4 is stable and its code proven. Use this for live trading.
• Slopey Peaky Bob Experimental.mq4 contains code that needs testing. Do not use it for live trading and please do not attach it to the Tests Database. The new features are described in the user guide but the stable version does not include them. These new features are:
  • Recovery.
  • Inputs to specify a minimum SuperSlope strength reading before opening and closing trades.
• I have added two more SS time frames. With all three enabled, SPB will only trade if all three agree. There is a bit more detail here: http://www.stevehopwoodforex.com/phpBB3 ... 78#p163878
• Added the ability to disable Peaky and trade just off SS.

How's the experimental version working for you guys?

I am happy with the Experimental version and have deleted it from post 1. I thought we could keep 1w just in case so:

• Slopey Peaky Bob is now "Slopey Peaky Bob 1w."
• Slopey Peaky Bob Experimental is now plain "Slopey Peaky Bob" and will show as V 1x.

That is great news, Steve. I have been experimenting with SPB, SPB Yankeedoodle, and SPB Experimental for about three weeks now. Learning how they work, and coming up with settings I like before I publish them on FXTestify.

A couple of questions:

What settings did you test on SPB Experimental? Have you tested the recovery options?.

Do we now use the comment SPB so it will be uploaded to FXT and included with that or do you want to report it as something else?

Have you included the experimental version with the Yankee doodle version.

Not at all. I will go live with my SPB setup.

And I will try to mimic the setup with TDesk/Desky in different variations. That could become nice. VERY nice.

I'm confident that this technique will work live as well.

I've my SPB live too not long ago using $10K and trade size 0.01 per $3000 (+ grid of 3).

Question, it appears that you've traded a fixed 0.01 size over a $10K account and with a grid of 5.
Is this correct?

What did you use as take profit?
