I have had the same issue this afternoon with trades not being triggered on Signals when trades had been opened successfully earlier today.

The 2 indicators I am using are Custom ones I wrote based on RSI, that in turn each call on values from other Custom Indicators I wrote. I am only a day into testing them on Tdesk, but if they prove useful I will tidy up the code & share on here. At the moment they are a bit rough around the edges!

My question may be stupid as I have brain freeze atm I want to make Desky place pending orders 20 pips from the market in both buy and sell trades so the guide says....

• Buy Stop
  Buy Limit
  Buy Stop and Buy Limit
  Sell Stop
  Sell Limit
  Sell Stop and Sell Limit

wouldnt I need to set a pending order buy or sell 20 pips from the current price Buy Stop and Sell Stop?

Any help appreciated

Edit: I have tried and failed to get this to work with any pending order setting(s) Desky only places orders with immediate market order set to true? Is anyone using pending orders successfully?

Looks like I invented another new word - "imDeskysible".

Do you mean that you want, say, to send a buy stop and a sell stop on the same pair as near to simultaneously as possible? If so, this is not currently possible.

You can seen from the code that the enum in infinitely expandable e.g.

   Buy_stop_and_buy_limit,
   Sell_Stop,
   Sell_limit,
   Sell_stop_and_sell_limit,
   Buy_stop_and_sell_stop
};

Then all that is needed is to add code to work with the extra choices.

IMHO,

following options would make sense with respect to the signal (LONG or SHORT):

1) Stop_Orders_Only
2) Limit_Orders_Only
3) Stop_And_Limit_Orders

Assumed we have a LONG signal, this would result in

1) A grid above the market to catch moves
2) A grid below the market to catch retraces
3) Both 1) and 2)

Vice versa for SHORT signals.

Sell orders don't make too much sense for me in the presence of a LONG signal.

Just my 2 cents.

It turns out that I have not actually coded sending pending trades instead of immediate market trades.

I will fix this later.

I am really confused now I have the latest Desky set to Buy_stop and this is the result

As you can see a Buy_stop has been placed correctly after the BUY signal on NZDJPY all good There is also a SELL signal on EURNZD but nothing has happened.

So as I see it, if the setting is on Buy_stop, only a Buy_stop order will be placed, that is my understanding. So what setting do I use to have a Buy_stop placed on a BUY signal for the first currency pair NZDJPY and a Sell_stop placed on a SELL signal on a different currency pair EURNZD?

If you set send immediate market trade to false, because you only want pending orders.
Set pending trades to false.
Set grid inputs to true with the type of grid to stops or both if you want limit orders as well, and the distance to whatever you want and amount of buy/sell stops you want open.

This should do the trick.
