Always show the first three lines of output above the matrix if you have questions about the signals.

I need help still failing to get pending trades to work even after the help kindly provided by LeonWavegarrick » Wed Nov 28, 2018 1:47 pm wrote: Hi C1borg,
If you set send immediate market trade to false, because you only want pending orders.
Set pending trades to false.
Set grid inputs to true with the type of grid to stops or both if you want limit orders as well, and the distance to whatever you want and amount of buy/sell stops you want open.
This should do the trick.
Cheers
Leon
I am using the settings attached using V2i. I use this setup on other demos and everything is working as expected with send immediate trades set to true and the grid trading off. However when I turn the grid on and the immediate trades off nothing happens. I have set an indicator which is always going to send a signal and no pending trades appear? I must be doing something stupid
Does anybody use pending trades if so can you kindly send me your setfile preferably for V2i, ive come to a deadend

C1borg,
Try grid trading as suggested by Leon, but change Solo & Multi flat value to zero.

We have a lot of legacy code in Desky that has worked flawlessly for years, but Desky is combining said code in new ways.
You already know from your own coding the churning out the code is the easy bit. It is the what to code that can be a total bugger.
It is possible that your particular combo of inputs is not catered for in Desky.
I did not find anything wrong the last time I looked. That does not inevitably mean that there is nothing wrong. I will look again over the weekend.
Read the effing manual, ok?

I suspect your signal was at 100 when Desky entered the trade and then fell back to 50. You can attach TDesk Viewer to the chart to check on a M1 base.

I've now discovered TDesk Viewer on M1 reveals much more information than on H1.
Thanks for your help

That is what TDesk Viewer was made for. And of course a M1 chart is more detailed than a H1 chart.

It may be due to a stressful week, or that my math is awful, most likely the latter. but please help.
Based off the following.
Long +1, Short -1, Flat 0
7 of 7 LONG signals are 7/7=100%
6 LONG and 1 FLAT are 6/7=86%
5 LONG and 2 FLAT are 5/7=71%
6 LONG and 1 SHORT are 5/7=71%
I want my exit condition to be when 3 of the 4 signals go against the direction of the open trade.
4 Signals
1 Long, 3 Short
4 - 3 = 1, 1/4 = Exit equals 25%
Would it still be 25% if I was trading SHORT and I wanted my exit to be 1 Short Signal and 3 Long Signals ?
Also, if I had 3 Long and 1 Short ( 3 - 1 = 2, 2/3 ) this calculates to 0.66666...
Would this still be 66% for the exit signal, or does TDESK round up to 67% ?
This has been bugging me for a while, thanks.
PS: I've just noticed my above calculations are completely wrong anyway, apologies! #confused

Hi.
3 of 4 signals against a trade would be -75%. Note the minus sign. Negative. Opposite. Other side. Oh, this can be negative? Yes, of course it can. -3/4=-0.75
However, in your example 1 Long and 3 Short are (1-3)/4 which is(-2)/4 which is -0.5.
Basic math...
However, in your example you have 4 signals, so (3-1)/4 would be 0.5. Just saying....
Hope that helps.
Thomas
That assumes you have 7 signals.Holbroom wrote:Based off the following.

A threshold is reached if the value is equal or above/below the value. 0.666666 is more than 66% and less than 67%.Holbroom wrote:Also, if I had 3 Long and 1 Short ( 3 - 1 = 2, 2/3 ) this calculates to 0.66666...
