Hi @Tomele, @All,

since many years I`m trading using simply Stochastic indicator on the multiple time frames.
Clean Stochastic is very powerful and in my opinion could generate extremely good signals a specially if You are using signals from multiple time frames.

Most of the people waiting for a moment when Stochastic KPeriod and DPeriod will cross. My solution is different.

I`m observing Stoch using distance (in points) between this two values to define the strength of the movement.
If the price is strongly moving up Stoch difference also growing very fast. The best setups are when Stoch difference is (for BUY) higher than 5 or (for SELL) lower than -5.

Some example:

BUY Enter conditions:
1D Stoch difference >= 1
4H Stoch difference >= 2
15MIN Stoch difference >= 5

BUY Exit conditions:
Buy trades I`m closing usually when Stoch difference is going in opposite direction.

I just opened SELL trade using this strategy:

1D Stoch difference >= 0 (this is low prio signal)
4H Stoch difference <= 0 in this case -2
and 15Min Stoch Difference <= -5 in this case -6
multifimeframe-stoch-distance-15M.JPG.png
This kind of trades I`m closing manually with some Stoch difference buffer. Price will change direction on 15M when Stoch difference will be higher than 0 (at 0 point Stoch will cross). I`m giving my trade (depends on the market conditions) some buffer, so this SELL trade I will close when Stoch difference will be between 0.80 - 4.00.

If You see high value of Stoch Difference I mean something higher than (for buy) 10 or (for sell) -10 ->>>> then it means that price is strongly moving up or down.

I would like to ask You (or some other colleagues) to create some simple Stoch Difference indicator for TDesk. This solution is really powerful a specially if You are swing trader or scalper. Using Stoch Difference You can easily define where exactly is price and how fast is moving.

Please take a look on that example:

1D Stoch difference higher than 5 (7,52)
4H Stoch difference is minus -2.23 - it seems that price is in some retracement in 4h chart
1H Stoch difference is lower than 5 but not lower than 0

Here I`m using some kind of time trade correlation (I dont know how to explain in english). When I`m trading 1H chart then I`m always checking 1D Stoch difference. When I`m trading 15Min chart then Stoch difference value from 4H chart is important for me.

In this example I will open a Buy trade when Stoch difference on 1H chart will be higher than 5-6 and will follow the price till moment when price will start to return (Stoch difference something between 0 and -2)
multifimeframe-stoch-distance.JPG
I really would like to see three up(or down) arrows with Stoch difference value in TDesk :)

I hope that You like this idea. This is my money maker ;)

(sorry for my weak english)

Cheers
Jacek

Jacek,
Interesting way of trading the Stoch,
In your screenshots it shows the value of the gap for each TF, D1 H4 H1.
I presume this is an Indicator?

You may have more of a chance of someone trying to adapt it to TDesk compatibility if it were attached here in MQ4 format.

Nick

Hi,

bodavid - was so kind and adopt current Stochastic Tdesk Indicator. I`m just testing it. You can find it in the attachment.

This what You can see on the picture is EA which I`m using instead of SL. In my opinion Stochastic is the "king" - once its crossed, price changing direction for a short or long time (depends on the TF) no mather what most of the traders/experts think.

Any how this what I have described in my post is only small part of my strategy and I suspect that signal provided by this Tdesk indicator will not be efficient for most of the traders without full/deep understanding of multi time frame Stochastic signals (I was too often mocked on this forum so I didnt decided yet if I will describe it here).
On the beginning You can start using it to open a trade. Stochastic giving You possibility to open a trade in the nearest possible moment where the price has changed direction. Just wait for the moment when stoch will be in "+ " on 4h/1D and on M15 Stoch difference value will be higher than 5-6 - then go with Buy trade and observe the movement. I`m using Stoch difference 5-6 to open my pilot trades 0.01 lot, more efficient results are when You are using 10 and higher.
For me Stoch 7,2,2 settings are not efficient - using that settings Stochastic generating too much noise. Instead of it try 20,3,3.

Cheers
J.

Hi all,
For my scalping on M1 I use the 9ofX_indi, in combination with a MovingAverage on top of it.(Red crossing White, ignore the Yellow one).
It gives quit reliable signals for the many small pips that I am chasing, with a resonable succes rate.
The picture attached shows a couple of valid entries and exits.
Because of the "need for speed" on M1, I would love to see this combination in an TD-compatible version.
The UserInputs needed are the MovingAverage Settings (period, method, colour,...).and a choice of Alerts.
If this looks feasable to the coders to incorporate into the TD-collection ?
Best regards,
thomasmore

Again me...

Maybe some one will be interested... and so kind to prepare new release of that indicator for TDesk.

Indicator: MTF Heiken Ashi Smoothed

This is one of the indicators which I`m also using - Multi Time Frame Heiken Ashi Smoothed.
In my opinion Japan Candle represent too much noise and could be interpreted by many traders in different way. In many books I saw ~>100 or more different japan candle formations... this is too much and making trader life much more harder and difficult (a specialy new traders). With Heiken Ashi trading is much more comfortable.

Some differences:

Japan candle:
japan_candle.png
Heiken Ashi Smoothed candle:
heiken_ashi_candle.png
Buy trade:
- You are opening a trade at the moment when second candle has the same colour as previous one (on my second picture from the top You can see some buy example - but in this case position of stochastic was more important for me) Example: blue, blue, red (attention), red (Close buy/Open sell)

Sell trade:
- just like buy but in opposite direction

MTF Heiken Ashi Smoothed can give You some overview about current trend. If You will focus on my screenshot You will see that in most cases after first (closed) HA candle, next candle appear in the same color and continue. You target is to keep You trade open till candle will change color to opposite one. (Looks simple, but base on my experience not everyone is able to cut this peace of cake.)

For example:

Perfect opportunity to sell:
1D candle RED,
4H candle - RED,
1H candle - RED

Medium opportunity to sell:
1D Candle RED (low prio signal - I know, I know... its high prio for most of the traders - for me its low prio)
4H 1st,2nd candle GREEN (high prio signal) - I`m opening trade and going to sleep ;)
1H 1st and 2nd candle GREEN (medium signal)

In the attachment You will find MTF Heiken Ashi Smoothed Indicator.

If You would like to use clean Heiken Ashi, first four parameters please setup as "1" and this settings I suggest You to use - I will explain why. In my opinion Smoothed HA have to be use on the lower time frames, there where price chart has a lot of noise. On the higher time frames simply HA candle is absolutely enough, here You need clear overview about open/close places.
heiken_ashi_multi_timeframe.png
I`m using Heiken Ashi Smoothed on all my charts (1/3/3/1) - with these settings price candle is smoothed (its reducing most of the wrong signals of normal HA) and much more accurate (on all charts).

I hope that You like it. Have a good trades and evening :)

This is some update of my previous post.

Just would like to add some screenshots from the live trading using HA signals + EA.
has_trading_ea.png
has_trading_ea1.png
has_trading_ea2.png
System opening trades every time when new candle appear and closing all trades when candle changing color or when planned basket is full. Every +1000pips MPTM closing basket for me. Its really profitable.

This kind of indicator really make sense, its focus only on the beginning, end and direction of the trend. Thats what is important. Simple and efficient.

Indicator: MTF Heiken Ashi Smoothed
You might be interested in this indi I coded: http://www.stevehopwoodforex.com/phpBB3 ... 86#p164286 it draws a line between the open and close of each HAS candle and is coloured the same so could be used in the same way as you are doing. I've been using HAS for a long time and whilst I don't trade it directly, I find it's an excellent indicator of trend. Throw it on a chart and take a look to see if it does what you're looking for.
