Hope you all had a brilliant start into the new year.

I don't know how you did it, I only made 21,000 pips for the year. However, that was enough for me to more than double my live account. I made a few manual trades as well.

I just made my settings and left my hands off. You can find all details on FXTestify.

If you do not mind sharing your set file (I know you mentioned you were using set #1733 on FVTestify a few posts back, but I am unable to access this for some reason), it would be most appreciated. Also, what was your max DD?

With all due respect, the settings that can be taken from FXtestify are useless when these are made with a no longer available version of the EA in question.

I printed the settings from FXtestify, and took over an hour to set these into the EA using the MQL-editor. Behaviour of the EA was way differrent that expected. Later I understood from one of your answers a few pages back this has also to do with the version you are using where the 'friday close all' doesn't work, where in the current it does work. Keeping the setting at "on" in the setfile doesn't help others trying to copy your results.

If possible, share the version you are using, or at least help people with questions instead of pointing them to FXtestify where the road leads to a dead end.

I really love the work you are doing here, and am forever thankfull for the various projects you have undertaken to make life easier when trading forex.

I hope I haven't missed this somewhere but I am planning to open a GP account as well as take advantage of their VPS deals (Beeks or ForexVPS). I am also planning to use FxTestify so the question is this:

To be able to run SPB on 2-3 Empty4 instances (i.e. 1 Live and 1-2 Demos) with the FxTestify EA added on the Demos then which VPS package would be the best option for this?

As an example, one of them offers a Basic plan where you are allowed 3 MT4s simultaneously with 1GB RAM, 1 CPU core and 40GB of space. Would that be efficient and sufficient for the above purpose?

Hi.

SPB is a timer-driven expert. CPU load problems can always be reduced by setting the interval higher. So no problem here.

The FXT connector runs once a day. For sure no problem as long as the internet connection of your VPS is not based on a 300 baud acoustic coupler (only old guys like me even know what that is).

Start with any basic plan. You can always upgrade.

Thomas was experimenting with different combinations of SS and found that some caused SPB to miss trades he should have been sending. Thomas rearranged some brackets and the bot resumed trading. He also made some improvements to the dashboard. Thanks again, Thomas.

Thomas wanted a SS bar shift so I have added HtfSsBarShift and the medium and lower time frame equivalents. There is a full explanation in the updated user guide for members unfamiliar with our use of candle/bar shift.

This would not be an easy DIY. Go to https://www.diffchecker.com/ to find the differences if you want to try.

Hi @all.

With the latest SPB version, I was able to mimic the settings of my (version 1L based) 90,000-pips test. I have attached the setfile here.

Basically, I am employing a "No Exits" strategy here. No Friday exits, no stops, no targets, no baskets. This monster stacks trades in one direction to catch large directional moves. It only reacts to opposite signals and is somewhat succesfull with it.

But be warned that a setfile alone will help you nothing until you completely understand Forex, the respective EA and the principles of the strategy. You will get in trouble faster than you think.

Thomas spotted an error in V 1y that prevents trades going to FX Testify. The fix is in post 1.

To DIY, line 745 is:
