Another 2,000 pips banked this week but that is not the news. Big target hit.. 20% profit.

No longer leader as Tomele has that title as I suspect a few rather large baskets closed this month but overall the results are looking promising.

Hi Zennor.

You are right. The 5000 (tgm0) and 10000 (me) basket TPs just took over. We will se how it goes on. Isn't FXTestify fantastic?

Thomas, you are so right, FXTestify is truly a fantastic tool where there is an absolute traders goldmine of information to glean.

The biggest surprise to me which in hindsight was not a surprise was the number of people bailing on SPB so early on in this forward testing exercise given the pedigree of the EA.

It is a little-known fact that the success of an EA with punters (not the actual EA) is the timing of when an EA is actually traded, or rather the start date.

Take SPB for example, we started this forward testing 2/3rd of the way through June. By the end of July, nearly every account still trading was in the red. Mid August all accounts were in varying degrees of drawdown. This is when people started to bail and drop the EA despite all previous results.

Imagine how many people would still be trading this EA if we had started trading this EA in mid-September, I would suspect a hell of a lot more than is trading it now. It is also a sad inditement that people who trade EA's generally have little or no idea of how they actually work. Anybody who knew and UNDERSTOOD how SPB traded would have seen the drawdown for what it actually was. Bad timing and a lot of negative feelings about Brexit affecting the GBP. It had absolutely nothing to do with the EA but rather the unfortunate timing of the start of the forward testing exercise. That was some turmoil and SPB weathered it perfectly. My account never came close to a margin call.

I think that SPB is an absolutely fantastic EA. 20% in just over 4 months after the GBP/Brexit ordeal is something that the top fund managers in the world would give their right arms for in a year let alone 1/3 of a year. People really do need to amend their expectations given that over 90% of retail traders never make a penny in a year or ever in their trading careers.

Kudos to all the brilliant minds who brought us this EA and you Thomas for the truly amazing method of forward testing the EA to produce such brilliant data for analysis. This surely has to be a first in Forex EA history. :hi:

Second exactly your sentiments Zennor. You hit so many nails on the head including retail traders needing a larger sample size of trades before making a judgement about a trading system, and the stats of EAs here that fund managers would be proud of being taken for granted.

Also, do you want monitoring done through FXtestify? or can i monitor via Myfxbook?
