I forgot to add a bump in my wrup last week, so I have added it for this week.

Thank you so much for the bump Steve! Your posts in the thread have already generated a lot of interest in 9X9 and 9ofX and I've already received a lot of PM's

I received a PM from Thomasmore about adding a moving average into 9ofX as he has been using this setup for sometime now with good results scalping M1. So I threw something together for him and have been playing with it myself for the past few weeks. I'm really liking the results I'm seeing on M5 and M15 and have started expanding on the idea with angles and strengths. Thomasmore's method is to use the cross up and down. This version of the 9ofX has not been fully tested, but here is the start:

New scalp. USDJPY M1:

The above was not a good trade. Had I looked at the higher TF's I would have seen the trend was going up and I traded against it. I'm hitting a triple top @ 110.450, so I'm holding on for the drop.

Okay .. it was a loser .. never bounced and I'm tired of looking at it.

I'll trade with the trend next time.

A TDesk version of this indi might help use it in combination with Baluda H1 and scalp the trend with no need to check manually higher TF.

I whole heartily agree. But I'm trying to figure out the rules of using 9ofX stand alone. However, the whole idea behind 9ofX is that the strength shown is a combination of all TF's of the pair. Let's see if we can work out some rules for trading it. The 9 in the name (9ofX) is for the 9 timeframes.

This is what I'm seeing .. Only trade buys when the strength is above 0 and only sells when below 0.

New trade. M5 - USDCAD Buy. Strength at crossover 178/151 Trading with the trend

Looking for a big move if the strength goes above 200

waiting for rollover to trade again.

I'm going to take another stab at an EA to test the theory. I will post it, if there is any interest.
