Make your latest TDesk compatible and you will not need to code an EA. That is the whole point of TDesk and Desky - making it quick and easy to test out trading strategies. Are you not up to speed with TDesk? You will help yourself a lot if you become so. It is helping the rest of us massively.

I am interested to delve into your scalping strategy, but the first thingy I will do is make your moving average version TDesk-compatible. Ridiculous not to.

I also updated post 1 with the latest versions of 9X9 and 9ofX.

For those of you that would like to play with a new EA (this is some of my best stuff) here you go.
This EA will close winning trades before news events and rollover. You will need to add the following to your "Allow WebRequest for listed URL:" option on the "Expert Advisors" tab.
Empty4->Tools->Options->Expert Advisors

Click the link above and copy the URL from your browser.

You will then need to set the "TimeZoneOffset" under the News Settings in the EA properties. You can tell if it's set right by hovering over a red vertical line on your chart and comparing it to the actual news event. If it's off by an hour, add or subtract 1 from the offset.

You will need this version of 9ofX for the EA

I've been running the EA this morning and it's doing good so far.
EDIT: Changed TradeOpenStrength = 200 in the EA properties. Do not change the trading timeframe property from M15. I'll update this bug in a later release.

Hey all,

Well, late last night I was so excited! The EA was working like clockwork. My account was up almost %50! I just knew I would wake to an account I could retire on!!!

But that wasn't the case. GBP killed me last night and took all and then some of profit back.

I've decided to try a different approach and will report some results tomorrow. I'm going to buy when the signal is above the MA and sell when it's below. This means I will always have an open trade on each pair.

Perhaps you can exclude GBP pairs because of the Brexit High Volatility and use only major pairs. Are u using default settings in M15 ?

Yes, one could exclude GBP, but I'm thinking high volatility = big moves in CSS = profit. I wasn't awake to see exactly what happened, but I'm almost positive it was a news event. I'll review the charts later. Yes, I'm using OOTB settings with exception of the TradeOpenStrength = 200 on M15.

I'm running a new version on my test as stated earlier. I'll release it later if it can hold its own. So far, so good. Its closed a few losers but it's in good open profit. This is to be expected after first launching it.

I am playing with some scalping off the M1, on the 5 biggies, Desky doing the trading. Buy the cross when 9x9 is > 0, sell when < 0.

Original TP 10 and SL 10 just about broke even, so I have doubled the TP. We shall see. I will play around with the settings.

I didn't have much luck with the my last test. It was just slowly draining the account. To much chop at the lower strengths. I'll try your strategy next.
