I think the problem was discussed on the closed group "TDesk Whispers"

For me, Tdesk has only one imperfection.

No possibility to load a dedicated indicator that would generate a position closing signal.

A big thank you to the whole team for the brilliant work .

Hi,

I'm working into a template for using Harmonic detection as an indicator to TDesk (together with one or two confirmation indicators):

One of the advantages to use the harmonics is you have both a nice dynamic SL and TP target levels defined by the ratios of the harmonic (red and green arrows at next picture):

This means that I have both SL and TP, but I'm wondering which is the best way to pass this information to be tradeable ....

If I only send to TDesk the LONG/SHORT/FLAT signal and the SL and TP levels as an EXIT signal by the indicator itself, this precludes to use a proper money management position size based on a dynamic SL ... and a fixed SL is many times not going to be adequate due to the nature of the Potential Reversal Zone of the harmonic.

My question is if there is any way for TDesk to get this info and provide it to the trading drone ... or there is any plan to do it in the form of global variables for a drone to get them.

Hi.

Simple question (well, two of them), simple answer(s): No and no.

TDesk is designed to make it easy for everyone setting up (meanwhile even somewhat sophisticated) entry/exit strategies using combinations of 99% of the available indicators. It is not designed to suit the more esoteric approches that don't fit into its simple input scheme of FLAT, LONG, SHORT. For example it will never count Elliot waves unless someone writes a drone that is doing that and can send such simple signals to TDesk.

Desky is totally responsible for the trading and the money management. The code is open source, so feel free to implement whatever you imagine.

As far as I am involved, TDesk will never tell Desky how to handle trades beyond the four signals FLAT, LONG, SHORT, EXIT.

Then I'll follow your advice and add some inquiry routines to Desky to ask for additional information from the open charts ...

I'll share the modifications at the Desky thread if they are worth of it (aka they don't interfere in a normal Desky behaviour).

I just wanted to say a huge “Thank you” to Thomas, Steve and Tommaso for this forum, Tdesk and all the automated systems being developed. I have only recently come across these and have spent the last month reading every thread about Peaky and Superslope and how they have developed into EA’s. Tdesk is an amazing accomplishment so hats off the Thomas for his programming skills.
In an industry where so many people are trying to rip you off, its amazing to see the generosity of this forum where people are giving their time and knowledge freely for our benefit. I now have 12 variants of EA’s running tests and I am learning every day.
I have made small donations to Tommaso, Steve and Thomas this morning, just enough to buy yourselves a few drinks on me, but it’s just something to show my appreciation. Well done guys and thank you.
