I don't see myself as a good manual trader nor have I brought up a breakthrough system like Leon for the same reason: He already has a good manual trading system and is on his way to transform it into an automatic one. Back to your topic, Caro - as I am allowed to just say Caro?

With TDesk and all the compatible Indicators, we have received something like a box full of little LEGO TECHNIC bricks. And with this, our quest has just started: Now we can find a combination of indicators and signals that makes sense to our little pattern recognition brains. From then on, this shall be our basic system. We can forward test it and check with the TDesk Viewer and Player, if it is worth refining Solo and/or Multi Signal entries and exits. All very visual and easy.

Next, there is the TDesk Trade Advice. This can be compared to the step of BraintheBoss' "Stack". He seems to be at the very end of refining his own system. But here's my point: As good as this "Stack" seems to work with his setup, it can easily fail with any other system. Maybe a defined SL/TP is better for my system, or maybe it's a single ATR based TP... I don't know beforehand. but with more individual forward testing data and the Trade Advice, we will surely find an answer to a good trading system, too - each of us, if we want.

The more individual systems, the better!

Just my humble opinion... Will see you guys on fxtestify with my individual system as soon as it's finally optimized.

Hi Guys,

Firstly LittleCaro nice results and hopefully all still going well.

We are given so many great tools and one which stands out for me is the "Mega" trend indicator by Wallywonka. From the time that Wally posted this indy I loved it. It goes well with my system.

I have since my last post in this thread evolved with the Sto7 indicator and probably also the reason that I don't post so much here. My fear is that I would start confusing people and feel that I need to do thorough forward tests and do my fiddling as I go along. It becomes difficult with all the good stuff being introduced .

As per the picture below I have set my Sto7 TD indicator on the weekly time frame with 222 setting and ignore open candle to false. From the pic below you will see that there are nice waves when I set the daily stochs to 14 2 2. My overlaying Ma's are still the same at 34. The Sto7 TD indy matches up nicely with this. My mega indicator comes to the fore once my Sto7 has settled with the wobbles at the beginning of the week. All in all the mega indi is very complimentary to this system.

What I am trying at the moment is by having UBD mega setting on the 4hr, 1hr and 15 min time frame with TDesk force exit signal on the mega 15m,1hr,4hr and weekly sto7. My draw down has been absolutely minimal with nice 75 pip trades so it is more like a scalping system in the direction of the cyclic trend.

I will post set files and so on once I have done some more forward testing.

Many thanks for the heads up in your weekly wrap up
As we all know, Ea's are dumb and only work and act as we tell it to do but cannot simulate real conditions as we would see it.

I am working really hard at getting something together that would simulate a good entry but would take profit at a reasonable price without manual intervention. At the moment I am running TDesk without intervention, however also find that good trades end up in the dustbin. Overall Ok but I believe more tweaking necessary.

My biggest mission is to take something into a real account without risking too much.

Be sure that I will share my files here in time to come.

thanks for the update Leon, the challenge to perfecting longer term settings is always letting the tests run for a sufficiently long sample size of market exposure before doing any tweaking. an endless tradeoff/negotiation going forwards... but I have a feeling you are cooking up something good, thanks in advance for your efforts
