Ditto - Empty4 to Oanda Trade Copier - As Low as 0.00001

Hi,
I'm away on vacation and haven't had a chance to play test the new version of ditto yet. Back late Tuesday. Don't know if I'll get to try to set up a new demo before then on the little notebook I have with me. Will report back if I do. The first thing I always do when I load a new version is enter a small manual trade first, just to see if ditto will fill it in.

fired up dittolink, opened fine. put ditto on chart and it loaded current open trades into the table on the chart, and got green "Satus Okay. Monitoring Long and Short Trades for All Activity" message on top left, but no trades are being sent to my Oanda account.

I entered a couple of manually trades to test it and they're not showing up in the ditto ea chart table, so activity is not being ready by the EA. Seem to have gone from 1000s of trades being sent, to zero trades being sent.

I'm on Oanda Empty4, so should be sending pending trades. Magic Number set to 0, so all trades, manual or EA triggered, should be going through as well...

I have posted an update. There was a zero divide error occurring under specific circumstances within the lot calculation function. This was likely the cause of the lack of trades being opened.

UPDATE: So far so good. opened new trade and closed at profit! We're rolling again.

HI all,

Back in town, downloaded latest 1.2.8 ditto and installed.

all tests: ditto percent set to 12%, so a .01 lot trade should start on Oanda at 120 units.

Test #1: AUDUSD
added a sell trade .01 I have about 25 existing Oanda Sell trades on audusd, varying from 120 units to 840 units. Next available lot size starting at 120 should have been 139. ditto opened a sell trade for 120 units, matching a trade opened yesterday that was for 120 units.

Test #2: EURGBP
add Sell trade .01. Have existing Oanda sell trades for 120, 121, 122 and 360 units. Ditto opened sell trade for 120 units, duplicating an existing trade for 120 units.

Test #3: EURUSD
Add buy trade .01. Have existing oanda buy trades for 121, 122 and 124 units. Ditto opened buy trade for 120 units. Add second buy trade .01. Ditto opened buy trade for 120 units, duplicating the trade it had just opened.

Test #4: EURAUD
add buy trade .01. have existing Oanda buy trades for 120 and 123 units. Ditto opened buy trade for 120 units.

So for me, the incrementing units is not working. Verified that Ditto version says 1.2.8.

Interested to see if this happens for others as well.

I placed a series of manual trades on CHF/JPY (Ditto set to 5%) - Ditto sent incremental trades to OandaV20 account - 50 units, 51 units, 52 units, etc. So in that instance, it seems to be working. EA trading has been slow this week, so will continue to watch...

Happy to hear it is working well so far. Not only should it increment, it should also now fill in any missing sizes. For example if you had trades of 50, 51, 52 and 53, then closed the 52 trade the next trade opened would be for 52 and then the following would be for 54.

Hey Lonnie,

Hope all is well with you. I did some additional testing today. All testing done with live Oanda accounts using 1.2.8 Ditto.

Ditto set to 12%.
GBPNZD - Had two buy trades already open for 121 and 124 units.
added one new buy trade. Opened at 120 units, which was correct.
added one more new buy trade. Opened at 121 units, which was incorrect since I already had an open buy trade with 121 units.

Changed Ditto to 6%. Opened up brand new trades on AUDCAD. I chose this pair because I had no existing trades open on AUDCAD at all.
1st sell trade - Opened at 60 units.
2nd sell trade - opened at 61 units.
3rd sell trade - opened at 62 units. All good - three trades in a row correct.
Closed 2nd trade. I now had open sell trades of 60 and 62 units.
4th sell trade - opened at 61 units - correct because this was the open slot.
5th sell trade - also opened at 61 units. incorrect because Ditto had just opened a trade at 61 units.

Not quite sure what to make of all that, but hopefully it will point you in one direction vs. another. Not sure that it makes a difference, but I was entering the trades manually and checking the unit size as I added each trade, so the 4th and 5th trades were entered 5-10 seconds apart.

A little more performance intel from this week... was a slow week overall.

manual trades raised incrementally, but this morning, while EA had generated a first AUD/JPY position earlier in the week, a pending was sent for a second AUD/JPY trade. The first trade was 250 units (25% of .01 lots on Empty4), but the second pending order was sent as 500 units, instead of 251.

Other than this, Ditto seems to be dutifully copying everything else like a wizard.

Tomas, if you are still monitoring this thread with regard to the SecureSetTimer. You mentioned you had seen the issue before on a VPS but not on a Windows workstation. On the two Windows 10 workstations that host my Global Prime Empty4 demos and ditto connections, I use Anydesk on both workstations so that I can access them remotely.

No idea if that would make any difference or that it really matters, but I thought I'd throw it out there just in case. No lockups this week since the timer change you suggested that Lonnie installed, but it has been a slow week for me as well as far as new trades being opened.
