Gann SQ9 EA

Hi The Locus Fund,

What settings do you use for the DAX, WTI etc., I notice when it is on some of those pairs the gann indicator is very different. I know some of them have different points etc., compared to pips, and would like to give Gann a try on them as well.

Any advice you can give would be appreciated.

AG, I am getting some of the errors saying, "...can't open trade....error (146). context is busy". I forgot the whole error message. Is it normal? Thanks.

I got the same message on Alpari UK.
I don't know what it was I assumed it was a requote

No problem, my friend. I will try to demo test on another broker and see if I get this message. I might be a requotes. If we can fix this issue then this EA is a great improvement.

Hi guys.
I have gotten those errors also, but the EA has opened the trade after a few attempts.
I don't have an answer for you unfortunately.
Please take a screen capture of the error and post it.

1. When you see the error, just hit the "Print Screen" key on your keyboard, that saves the picture.
2. Open up your Microsoft "Paint" program (this already comes with windows) in "Start" - "All programs" - "Accessories" - then you should see "Paint".
3. After "Paint" opens up, and you see a blank box in Paint, Click on the upper left hand side "Edit" then click on "Paste".
4. After the picture is loaded into the Paint program, click upper left hand side "File", then "Save as".
Select a name for your picture, then below the name box, on "save as file type", select 'JPEG", and then "SAVE".

It should default to your "My Pictures" folder automatically. Then just select the picture & upload it here to your post.

I'll be back & forth working on a lot of other things I have going on right now.

Hi Ken.
It looks like your Crim is not (wanting to) filling your orders in a timely fashion - kinda like a "re-quote".
The EA should eventually be able to open up the order as it keeps trying to as long as the trigger signal exists. If you see that you are missing out on a lot of the orders being placed, then switch to another Crim.

Hi all.
Sorry I've been away. I'm taking a break from the forum for a bit.
But I have been playing with the notion of incorporating Steve's "Beast" with the SQ9 because of the similarities between both. So I'll be peeking in from time to time here, and when time allows, I'll try to develop the EA further.

just a quick update my testing on the gann 4.4 SE bot is going really well

It's good to see you come back to your thread, AG. We'll be waiting for your next version of SQ9. I am sure it'll be even better than the current version. So far, v 4.4 SE is profitable, but not by much. I had to close some of the trades when the profit was good enough for me. If I don't take the profit, then it might go down to a few bucks like many of the closed trades. What's a better setting for the SL? I have played around with the settings a little bit, but it didn't do much in terms of locking down more profits. Cheers
