Hi Bob,
I will try to modify this Indi to have a possibility to trade with an all possible currencies.

So far, so good. 63% in 3 days (almost ~700 pips). Its kind of aggresive trading but as I see probability of that indi is extremely high. Its absolutely amazing to see when price is slowing down or accelerating.

One thing was a little bit confusing for me. Exit moment.
I spent some time to find out the best solution for me and I realised that best exit moment is when Heiken Ashi candle changing colour to the opposite one. At this moment CSS usually strongly folling down to 0. What is also important, if first HA candle (in the opposite direction) appear, second one (or more) also is comming. Single HA candle its rather hard to find, so I think this coul be good moment to closed the trade and wait till price will back to the previous direction.

I dont know if this will be helpful for other traders, but for me its working fine.
Just some hints...

Please take a look on the first picture.
As You see, HGI still showing that price will go up, but HA showing something else.
heikenashi-stoploss.PNG
On the second picture You see next HA candle, and the first HGI signal that price direction has been changed.
HGI signal is ok, but in my opinion its appearing a little bit to late. In my opinion closing the trade once HA changing colour to the oposite one, will save a lot of pips.

What do You think about suggested by me moments to exit the trade ?
Thanks in advance for Your opinion.

Hello Bob,

With regards to MM, do you still use or advocate the use of your 'recovery system' as detailed in one of your PDFs (The Recovery System) in one of your threads at FF (ie, the one about levels - level 1, level 2 , level 3 and level 4, and 1.1.2.4 and 1.1.3.3)? If not, why?

From what I have read so far, it would appear what you do now is enter (scale in) in 3 parts per trade, and monitor your trades with a max 20% DD in mind, and start closing some positive trades when this DD is approached. You do state that you do not use stop loss, but sometimes you seem to imply stop loss above/below wavy lines, so not clear whether you use stop loss or not (ie. do you actually place stop loss at a particular price, or just mental stop loss at a price, or no stop loss at any price at all?)

Many thanks

If anybody could chip in, as it looks like Bob is not available to reply, it would be much appreciated. Just want to know what MM without hard stop loss people use. Many thanks!

Danjuma,

Your trading time frame is your trend. Hgi trend signal on hourly for example. Stop will be placed above the trend wavy signal which is usually followed by a trend signal. The dynamics are that the smaller timeframes must also be followed by trend signals for the hourly timeframe trend signal to be valid. If you have a counter 15 min trend signal for example it is a sign for you to get out.

Hi Wavegarrick,

Thanks for your response. I am not actually talking about the trading mechanics of HGI (entries, exits, time frames etc), what I am talking about is the money management side of things. Bob has always advocated the non-use of hard stops (if I am correct), and in his old thread at FF he was using a form of recovery system as mentioned in my original post. There is no mention of this recovery system in his thread(s) here, and my question was whether he still uses the aforementioned recovery system or advocates its use, and if not why? And does he use hard stops or not presently? Thanks

Hello Bob,

I would like to ask a question regarding above. Its not about when we change time frame but when we install a new HGI on our charts with a new expiry date. For example the next expiry date is on September 1st. When we install "new" HGI on our charts how soon can we consider signals like Big Arrow or Blue Wavy valid? Does HGI need a few hours/days to readjust to market?

Thanks

I will answer this for Bob as he is not always around.

HGI works in the here and now, so there is no delay when updating it.

Read the effing manual, ok?

Afterprime is the official SHF broker. Read about them at https://www.stevehopwoodforex.com/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?p=175790#p175790.

I still suffer from OCCD. Good thing, really.

Hi Bob,

Been here for 5 years and still trying to grow as the forum does. Have some problems with HGI now in Australia. The securities commission here changed the rules on leverage in March 2021 and my broker Bully Pepperstone has changed the symbols for each currency pair on Empty4. They now identify each with an "a" after the currency.. so it is audusd.a , xauusd.a. HGI no longer works on these new currency names so I cannot use the indicator any more. I was really focusing on HGI the last 6 months with some positive results for the first time in a while, so it is critical to my approach. I am writing to ask if there is some way to accomodate this with the indicator as my efforts are going to go to >>>>> if I can't solve this..The Baluda indicators all work..just HGI doesn't. Any advice or direction to someone that has worked this out or amended the code? Thanks and Regards Dingo..
