Hi John.

You probably could use TDesk for this. It can be configured to show only the pairs, P/L and swaps as a pure display tool. All other columns and even the top line(s) and the bottom buttons can be hidden. You can cycle through open trades, closed trades, all trades by clicking the table header.

Thank you very much for that information, again, I wasn't aware of that feature.

Looks like can be as monitor and tinker of data also, win / win situation.

Not sure what version of TradeReport you are using, but in my version, line 255 looks like:

Code: Select all

      case SYMBOL  : cols[0].name = "Symbol"; break;

and on column 8 there is no array access.

Try to upgrade to the latest version and see if you can still reproduce the error.

At the request of Tebis (Ernst) I have made some changes to TradeReport (see Post 1). There are two new parameters: balanceChoice and customBalance. These parameters are only used for the calculation of Nett%.

If balanceChoice is set to "Initial Balance", it will use the current (actual) balance minus the total Nett P/L for the calculation of Nett%.

If balanceChoice is set to "Current Balance", it will use the current (actual) balance for the calculation of Nett%

If balanceChoice is set to "Custom Balance", it will use the value configured for the customBalance parameter, but only if that value is positive.

Hopefully with these changes, the value for Nett% will suit everyone.

I came across a slightly different version of your indicator and I did a couple of changes to it to suit my trading.
I will share it here because this is the most relevant thread but if you don't approve, please feel free to delete it

1. I added automatic alphabetical sorting of the currency pairs

2. I wanted not to have to enter (or change) the start and end dates of the report so I added input StartAndEndDate=false
which when set to false ignores the dates shown in the settings and uses the trade history shown in Empty4.
This way I can set my Empty4 to show all history or 1 month or whatever and it will do so.
If we change the Empty4 history on the fly, we can switch between time frames and the indicator will refresh its data.

3. I wanted to see simultaneously both closed trade P/L and Net P/L ( without having to go into the settings and switch between the 2 so I added 2 new columns for Net P/L $ and Net P/L Pips.
Columns 9 and 10 are now your pre-exisitng selectable P/L columns ( will Show ClOSED/SHOW OPEN/SHOW NET P/L )so I'm setting those to show only CLOSED trades.

4. I changed some of the background colours in a couple of the colour schemes, because for example Green text is not clearly visible on greenish background.

Hi Bill,
You have made the changes to a very old version of TradeReport. I can't stop you from making these changes, as you have the .mq4 file, but I won't make this the official version as we would make several steps backwards.

Next time if you want to make changes to any software provided on this forum, I would advise to first download the latest version.
