In this case, I would recommend Peaky Buffers with Buffers 4/5 (or 6/7) on H1. Those are only LONG/SHORT in the outer sections and FLAT in the inner sections. Then put PB-1/H1 on the ExcludeFromSoloSignals + ExcludeFromMultiSignals AND on the VetoOnOppositeSIgnals list.

This prevents the basic setup from trading into those very outer sections...

Cheers,

Mat

PS: Shout out if you need a template or sth like that

:hi:
Hi Mat,

Please post a template and set file for the PeakyBuffers.

Thanks in advance.

Hey taipan

Here's the modified version of PeakyBuffers with TradeableRangeDivisor set to 6.
PeakyBuffersTRD6.mq4
And here's the UBD Peaky Buffers set file for the standard 28 pairs. Buffers 4/5 give directional signals only in the outer sections.
UBD PeakyBuffers OuterSection.set
With this signal attached to your drones template you can use this modified TDesk template. It is your basic template with the addition to not trade in the outer sections of Peaky H1 with a standard count of 1682 bars.
TDesk v6.8 EA with PeakyBuffers - 28 Pairs.tpl
If you should choose to implement it in your standard package on page 1, I will delete it here afterwards in order to not confuse the SHF community.

Cheers,

Mat

Today, the 1K, 10K and 100K Demos have almost gained back the losses yesterday in the early Asian Session.

See attached for TradeReport Compact & TradeChart4 reports:

Hi Mat,
it seems something wrong with the TDesk v6.8 EA with PeakyBuffers.tpl because when closing all charts with the button below and open all charts afterwards, then the Tdesk dashboard will be overwritten by the indicators and a lot of currency pairs are opened without the indicators...
Please see pictures attached.

greetings

Okay, I checked my uploaded TDesk v6.8 EA template. The only fault is that I didn't delete the Singapore Dollar pairs (USDSGD etc.) ... Sorry for that! I uploaded the same template but with the standard 28 pairs.

Nonetheless, this doesn't influence the system at all! I know, this is a bit confusing at first, but you don't need to open every single chart! Just open the drones template, open a new TDesk Universal Buffer Drone indicator from the sidebar, go to Inputs and click Load. There, you choose the set file I have uploaded and then click Okay. This will additionally load the PeakyBuffersTRD6 for all 28 Pairs without the need to open every single chart.

Afterwards, you open the TDesk chart and load the template, I have uploaded.

Cheers,

Mat

Some thoughts....

From the setfile...

gri=---- Grid inputs ----
ggi=-- General grid inputs --
UseGridTrading=true
TypeOfGrid=0
GridSize=2
DistanceBetweenTradesPips=3

As soon as a signal is triggered 4 trades are placed 3 pips apart so effectively 0.04 lots this could be contributing to the high drawdown when trades go south. Obviously the opposite is true if the trade goes in our favour. I would suggest using fill the gaps instead and using ATR to set the distance between trades what do you think? Why did you choose this setting?

From the setfile...

bas=---- Basket trading ----
ind=-- Individual pairs --
TreatIndividualPairsAsBasket=false
IndividualBasketTargetPips=0
IndividualBasketTargetCash=0.0
IndividualBasketCashPercentageTarget=0.0
dbi=-- Dynamic individual pair basket take profit --
UseDynamicCashTPIndividualPair=true
CashTakeProfitIndividualePairPerLot=1000.0

all=-- All trades belong to a single basket --
TreatAllPairsAsBasket=true
BasketTargetPips=0
BasketTargetCash=0.0
RemoveMyselfAfterBasketTP=false
BasketCashPercentageTarget=3.0

highestCashUpl=-1000000.0
highestPipsUpl=-1000000
dbt=-- Dynamic basket take profit --
UseDynamicCashTP=true
CashTakeProfitPerLot=3000.0

1. UseDynamicCashTPIndividualPair=true
CashTakeProfitIndividualePairPerLot=1000.0
So when any individual pair =$10 profit (0.01*1000) the individual pair is closed.
Im ok with this

2. TreatAllPairsAsBasket=true
BasketTargetPips=0
BasketTargetCash=0.0
RemoveMyselfAfterBasketTP=false
BasketCashPercentageTarget=3.0
When the total basket = Equity x 3% All pairs are closed and we start again
IMO This leads to a steadily increasing target which can get to be impossible to reach unless we increase the lots/equity

3. UseDynamicCashTP=true
CashTakeProfitPerLot=3000.0
This would close the entire basket at $30 on a $3000 equity and we start again, but otherwise do nothing.
Why is this setting true what is the reasoning behind it?

I might be thick and barking up the wrong tree but I would love anybody to chip in with thoughts and ideas on this.

Hi c1borg,

Yes your findings are correct. Those set file is not from me. I have copied from somewhere and forgot where I had copied it. Please use your own set file and find the best of them and post it when it is successful.
