"This is not a trading tart" so you won't get that many trades, however I find that my trades go into profit fairly quickly and losers are disposed of timeously, touch wood, with not more than 5 to 8 trades on the table at any given time. I am still looking at Thomas's advice given in the "Putting the strings together" thread and will look at a incorporating a grid strategy in given time. Ideas are most welcome.

Your Empty4 is probably freezing because you do not have Tomele's "TDesk universal buffer drone" aka UBD downloaded on your platform. There are files that need to go in your library folders as well. I cannot go through the lengthy process as it involves reading and following Thomas's instructions. You need to go through it from the beginning and you will find it under TDesk Universal Drones - Usage Lessons and Desky. TDesk's trading drone. and for HGI you need to have the indicator and library files from here HGI. I have posted my indicators and perhaps should post the MTF HGI TD Bars V2 indicator here again:

I cannot emphasize enough how you need to keep up with the latest developments here at SHF by reading and keeping up with the program. I understand how difficult it must be for new members and perhaps you can keep up with the developments in my thread to get you up to speed.Wavegarrick's HGI Trading.
Steve has also set up a thread to get all started with TDesk. Welcome to TDesk. Read this to get started.
Anyway I will copy this reply to my thread as well, as it is relevant to my developments,

these are my trades so far this week (global prime, demo is 3 days old) - already right into the green - although not nearly as many trades as yours . I'm wagering that some of those trades on your platform must have triggered last week

You COULD download the new version in post #1 from the HGI thread?
I actually did download the new version but somehow the template gave that when I loaded it. Had something to do with the template I think or some sort of glitch loading the older version. It loaded up just fine now. Just wish I new what had caused it. Thanks for the suggestion.
WOW did I have to surf and grind this site! It sure has grown over the years!. I finally found everything and got it to work properly, saved a working profile and migrated everything to a demo Empty4 just for letting her rip.
I had to quit trying to learn trading for some years ago (Getting cancer has a way of re-prioritizing one's life REALLY fast) and had forgotten just how hard it can be to get things set up, especially the mad scientist stuff this forum puts out LOL.

I have the TDesk setup. It open three trades right off the bat and then makes more pendings. Is it supposed to do that?
I see others post theirs and they are starting out only one trade.
I verified all set files and templates properly loaded from 1st post.
Ideas?

Welcome back and hope you are beating your cancer. I wish you well.
When we started this journey with TDesk it was helter-skelter getting combinations together and testing. High risk trading does not bode well for me and as you will see from early inception that we were just testing the new inputs. Some worked and made money quickly but could put you in a deep hole just as quick. Since then I have refined my strategy. I have learnt over the years that there is no fast way to make money.
Do me a favour and start with my new set files on page 40. It has taken me months and months to get to this stage. So don't put yourself on the back foot. I will update page 1 as soon as I am properly settled with my sets.

Thank you. Your trades triggered are perfectly normal. I just showed you a picture with my trades for the whole week with TDesk set to " all trades - total P/L ", I currently have 2 trades open with 65 pips in profit.
