Hi Guys,

Based on a post in the hopelessly confused thread I will give you simple steps in layman's terms to set up my system. My system is probably the easiest of them all because I do not need many indicators:

Step 1:
Ensure you have Thomas's latest TDesk version 6.81 downloaded. Go to http://www.stevehopwoodforex.com/phpBB3 ... 106&t=5522 on page 1 first post and download all the attachments and ensure you put them in all the correct folders experts, include and script folders.
Once you have done that you can open TDesk version 6.81 in the XAUUSD chart and load my preset:

TDesk Master - v 6.81.set

Ps. I have made an adjustment today with the news setting. I want it to block new trades 20 minutes before and 20 minutes after high impact news.

Step 2:
Go to http://www.stevehopwoodforex.com/phpBB3 ... 106&t=5654 and download all the files from post 2 and ensure you put them in all the correct folders on our system, indicators and library folders.
Download the following indicator and place in your indicator file:

Stochastic color mtf fast.mq4

Open another XAUUSD chart and open your indicator "TDesk Universal Buffers Drone". Once you have done that you are ready to upload my set file:

UBD Stochastic color mtf fast.set

Step 3:
Download the following expert and place it in your expert folder.

TDesk Trading Partner EA V3r.mq4

Open a new XAUUSD chart and open the above Ea.
You are now ready to load my preset:

TDesk Trading partner38.set

Ps. I have made one more adjustment today and updated in the above preset. I have disabled the gap fill inputs. My next step may be to enable a basket profit of say 150 pips. still contemplating.

Step 4:
You need to have the the following indicator in your indicators folder:

MTF HGI Bars TD V2.mq4

Ensure you have downloaded the latest Hgi indicators and lib files from here to go in your indicators file and library file:

You need to download my template. I have attached a simple template because I can see that my more sophisticated template is confusing some:

Lastly ensure that you have history down loaded for all your charts on different time frames else your system will not work properly.

I have given you a step by step recipe and if you don't follow it I will come down on you like Gordon Ramsay

I'm glad I looked at the journals because, while the TDesk was working and making trades, I need to find and DL the indies for the Wave and other templates. =)

Hi Guys,
Based on all your requests and pm's received, I will give you an update on my current status. This is by no means the finished product and one thing I know is that my trades can change in a jiffy. I know that my entries are good, but also know these are the levels that market players look at as well. I am trying very hard to look at a quick exit when this does occur and work ahead. Could a quick 25 pip profit be a solution or do we go for the full swing reversal?. Something I am grappling with at the moment. Take note, my mission is and always has been to have a low draw down as possible and something I can take onto a live account.
I am juggling between all the exit methods and know that my Stf indicators give me a quick exit but Hgi exits gives me a more solid risk reward so I have gone for the more solid Hgi exit method, but will look at changes in time to come.

Anyway, here is everything needed. A quick starter pack for newbies:

Anyway guys, I have gone through great lenghts to explain, especially to new traders, and following chronological steps in setting up your system.If I missed anything let me know.

Do not trade this live and do your own due diligence by testing on demo only.
I would love to get ideas and am open with regards to exits etc. as I believe it is my greatest downfall.

Hi Chartartist,

Just check that you have enough history on your 12 pairs. I could be wrong, but your STF columns look a bit sparse. You must open all those charts and click on the monthly down to the 1 min time frame to load your history manually.

Look at my chart and you will see the difference.

Hey Leon,

thank you very much for sharing your complete setup with all of us. This is absolutely generous of you!!!

I noticed that we have to open all trading pairs in separate charts to get the HGI bars signals to be sent to TDesk.

In the Whispers section I already mentioned a workaround for this:

Any indicator's code that gets called by the Universal Buffers Drone gets completely processed with its default hard coded parameters. If such an indicator has some TDesk Signal included, this signal will be sent to Tdesk without opening the specified trade chart itself.

Therefore, I hard coded your settings of the MTF HGI Bars in a modified mql file and set up a new preset file for the UBD. The UBD itself sends a Blank TDesk Signal to TDesk which needs to be excluded from the Solo and Multi Signals. For this, I modified your TDesk set file, too.

In the end we only need three XAUUSD charts: One for TDesk, one for the Desky and one for the two UBDs. This consequently saves us a lot of processing power.

To make it most user friendly, I have combined all of these settings and saved the three XAUUSD chart templates: One contains TDesk, the second contains Desky and the third the two UBDs.

Please give it a spin and tell me, if it works out for you.

Gone are the days of having umpteen charts open. We now only need 3 charts open and I thank Ehrenmat and I am sure all of you using HGI will feel the same. Thanks Mat you are a star.
I have gone through all the charts with Mat's settings and the signals match 100% with mine.

Step 1:
Add the following preset to your TDesk master v6.81.

TDesk Master - v 6.81 - Ehrenmat mod.set

Step 2:
In addition to your XAUUSD chart with STF UBD file which Is already running. Open up your indicator"TDesk Universal Buffers Drone" and load the following preset:

UBD - MTF HGI Bars Caller.set

Step 3:
Download the following indicator to your indicators folder.

MTF HGI Wavegarrick Bars TD V2.mq4

PS. no need to change Tdesk trading partner Ea. It must stay as is as per my previous post.

You should be set to go, and close all your other charts that had to be open in the past to get HGI TD signals.

This will be a huge saving on resources needed to have charts open for all your pairs traded.
