Nice. what dollop amount do you use now to get those results?
I searched an older post which said "0.01/ €10.000 - €30.000 now, trading 28 pairs and expect to make 4-5% monthly", but wanted to check if that is still correct.

Yes,
10.000 for the pairs with 6th up to 150pips
15.000 for the pairs with 6th between 150-250pips
20.000 for the pairs with 6th between 250-350pips
30.000 for the pairs with 6th over 350pips

Also did you keep up with the grid method you were using in addition to this?

Yes, you are correct.
1st group 25pips apart
2nd group 50pips apart
3th group 75pips apart
4th group 100pips apart

Normal method using H4 and D1, with grids only using H4.
Both methods make the same approximately

Not sure, as I wasn't interested in automating and didn't pay attention if it popped up.

Yes, chop large enough to trigger the limit-orders over and over again are the real moneymakers.
Sometimes a pair hits the same trade 3-4 times a day.
The downside is that is takes longer to 'get out' of trading a particulair pair.
With the normal way, when recovery is started and goes into TP, the pair is done. With the grid there will be the last open trade to deal with, untill the pair goes beyond the initial TP line and clears all trades.

No, same lotsizing.

On a different tangent I had a possible idea on how to still keep good gains while reducing the risk.

If you have £10000 to risk then only put £3000 into the account with standard settings so only about 30% of your captial is at risk. Let it run as normal maybe using fixed lots sizes instead of the dollop, but remove 70% of all profits made when targets are hit. When the account size increase enough (with the 70% removal) you can increase the lot size, but you will have banked lots of profits before you can do that and they are not at risk if things go wrong. Only downside I can see is it is going to take a much longer time to compound the profits.

What if the grid was changed to target a total number of pips rather than a TP target price?
25 pips 8 times would give you 200 pips, but price might not have moved more than 40 pips in that time?

You can start with a smaller size account but sooner or later you will be forced to top up the account.

In order to make the EA better, I made lot of changes to my POS but the behavior of this EA where it is chasing price will get you in too many trades and although this behavior is aimed at getting you better entries, it will also trigger too many trades and sooner or later you will suffer unacceptably big DD.

I tried very hard to make the EA better but in the end you'd have to ask yourself this very important question, why bother with POS when there are better EA's?

I suggest you move on.
Try the SPB EA.
It will also have DD but not as much as POS and when you trade 0.01/$10000 you will be able to live with the DD.

Yes you are correct, I think eventually you will end up with too many trade with too big a lot size and it will blow up. My personal account doubled in a year and then blew up over the summer.
What I was thinking was remove a portion of the profits so they are no longer at risk and the account size won't grow as fast. So using my example I made £10000 profit, I would have take out £7000 so my account size would be £13000 instead of £20000. £13000 would have a smaller lot size using the dollop formula so I would have survived the drawdown. Evenutally it will blow up with a black swan event but hopefully you will have extracted enough profits at that point to cover the loss.

I have tried the other EAs, although not all the various settings but POS gave me the most consistancy.
Maybe I will revisit SPB and look and some of the new settings people have tried.

Yes POS does that, it can take regular profits and it can make us feel good for a while and there are times when the market is range bound so we can collect money
over the same ranges again and again and again....

BUT it will be painful to watch when the DD comes.
Can you live with the DD and simply top up the account when the DD comes?

Well, we have just had the biggest risk OFF period since the GFC
so many pairs particularly AUD and NZD, CHF and JPY crosses had extended runs and many pairs would be in draw down.
My GUESS is that if you start trading POS now and you let the EA only take trades in the risk ON direction you will make good money.
But its all a bit of a gamble, are you the gambling type?
