Hey Folks :hi:

Another decent week for Sharky's KISS (£10K Demo) and yet another tweak added.

Friday being NFP day as well as CAD employment data release (which caused a spike down and SL hit only to retrace ) brought me to the decision to exclude trades 24hrs before red events. This will obviously/possibly dramatically reduce the number of trades taken, but the end goal is to have as close to a rock-solid system to upload on this thread for y'all.



My Micro account had a stonking week, gaining just short of 1700 pips.

Good idea imo but why 24hrs wouldn't 1 or 2 hours be enough, as the events explode and correct quite quickly?

To be honest I have nothing to base that time length on.
Although the average trade length is 13 hours.
On reflection, and considering your question I will cut it to 14 hours and work from there. Having it less than the average in my opinion would be futile (Please correct me if you think I'm wrong).

After some months of testing and tweaking, I feel it's time to share.

As before, it's best you get updated EA's (TDesk & Sharky) and Indicators (HGI & Drones) from their respective forums.


These go into your Template folder.

Default.tpl

You should see various indicators over several time frames (I use this to monitor existing and closed trades).

TDesk.tpl

As well as the TDesk ea you should have the HGI drone reading D1 & H4.

Sharky's KISS.tpl

As well as the Sharky ea you should have the 2 precision MA drones reading M5 on one and H1 & H4 on the other.

Clear your Indi folder and copy these into it.

I suggest you test on demo first.

Thanks Richard,

I've been following along and testing out your earlier example for the last few weeks and it's working well. Not many trades but I don't do many manual trades either - gives me a bit more confidence in the system. I'm out of the markets now until the new year but will implement your latest and let it run on test.

Glad it has been working well for you.

Good idea sitting back and away from the markets, I will be doing the same on my live account when the trades I have running close. I will keep the demo running though, just to see what happens.

Great stuff, thanks a lot for sharing . I have demo tested Sharky before but somehow got lost in the whole configuration thing and my setup would barely take any trades. Today I will give it another go with a fresh Empty4 install.

I have Sharky telling me "TODAY IS NOT A TRADING DAY" after market open. I'm using a VPS, which means that broker time and local time can get a bit confusing. Can anyone tell me a way to get around this, and get the EA to see that markets are open? Thanks for any help.

I have put a temporary fix in place by changing the VPS time to my local time, but I would have thought that broker time is all that matters.

OK,so I set up the demo. I still have no idea if what I am seeing on the TDesk chart bears any resemblance to what should be, given that your Indicators folder in the zip file holds about a million indis.

So I ask for a third time. Richard, will you do me a favour please and post a pic of what my TDesk chart should look like? This will take you about a minute.
