Hi Steve and congrats!

Your welcome message is very well put, and from your attitude I would say this forum will be (and already is) a strong and attractive place for traders.

I think your new home will attract lots of traders and. I was totally unaware of happenings over the past while @ FF, been busy and stuff. I found the forum with the help of Google. I'll use this forum as first base, and FF as a reference.... (and Google to hit home runs when looking for something....)

So thanks for starting up this forum, I know there will be more of the good stuff, more organized, and less of the non-sense. Cheers!!

Just so you all know, the heart of this forum is the very first one - 'Automated trading - here are the EA's'. There are thingies going on there that blow the mind.

I noticed that I came here and started posting in other threads but not here.

I just wanted to say hello to Steve and all other nice traders, programmers and people around here. I have followed lots of you on FF since I was amazed about your systems. Hopefully I can add some of my 2 pips to the one or another thread. Keep up the good work!

I am a “forum newbie” and already finding myself discouraged by a thread I started Jan 5 in FF.
(my first ever in a forum).

… well, someone mentioned ..ask Steve and posted the link. So here I am, feel better already.

I read your welcome post and my interest is also in automation. I am not new to trading, been doing it many years full time.

Having spent a couple years (joined forces with a great programmer, with a "full time" job) fooling around trying to code my manual “discretionary” strategies, moved to Indicator base systems, ending up focusing in Math, grids, correlation, hedging system. Anything related to just plain numbers game. Due to the nature of these systems we have been using renko charts as we see them more suitable for them.

Anyway, to make it short, we have come with some good concept with a lot of potential
shown by forward tests, but now interested in Multi-pairs Back-testing. ..(including renko) to "sort of" find the weakness of the systems during long periods of time.

First question to you Steve... were do I start in your forum? I do not see any 100% suitable category. I do not want to make the same mistake I did in FF.

Hi Jeuro

My advice to you would be to start a thread in the "Trading Ideas for Possible Automation" or "For the Coders" section, clearly outlining one of your systems/ideas. I'm sure it will soon be taken up by one of the forum's avid coders!

You may also want to read the "Renko Price Action Idea", in the "Trading Ideas for Possible Automation" section, as maybe there is some overlap here.
