Hi,
here my results for August. Wednesday is the only profitable day. All other days are not stable enough.
I ll start testing another month with different parameter.

Is this another dead road?
No post from 5 sep 2022?
In my opinion is too early to declare that.
I've run it on L and N sessions, OOTB settings, with very inconsistent results: 5 days in a row 100 eur profit, and the next day 2000 eur loss and so on.
Maybe high and medium news days have to be avoided?

I had a very strong run on a demo account when this was first released. I opened a (small) live account soon after and continued to do OK for a while. This was followed by a number of big (relative to account) losses, so I stopped live to re-evaluate. I did a bit of modelling to see if I could identify a strategy for scalpy but couldn't identify anything with any statistical significance. Note: this modelling approach was quite simple - analysing highs and lows within a period of the LO and NYO, and then using different entry criteria, all on a spreadsheet, so it is not accurate (but I find it useful).

Having said this I still think the concept is valid - looking at a 1m or 5m chart for a 'normal' trading day and the price will run up (or down) and often reverses within a couple of hours.

Based on personal experience, I think it is the entries need refining - and Steve has added the scalpy trade management features to desky (I think), so I will be spending some more time seeing if I can refine my entries.

EDIT: actually, Steve added features to scalpy to enable trade management only

Seems only we 2 have interest in this EA on these days...I also try some tweaks...No conclusion yet...

I'm still interested and still running tests but I think it's a lost cause unless we get a stop loss.

It is the work of seconds to add a stop loss if you really want one. Our experience in over a decade of basket trading is this: basket stop losses are hit far more often than they allow the markets to move in our favour.

Let ne out it more directly, They are a 100% guarantee of losing.

Doesn't mean I will not add the feature if you really are daft enough to ignore the received wisdom of many traders acquired over more than a decade. It will just make you look silly in the eyes of the rest of us. Sing out if you are still idiotic enough to ask me to add it. I will do so without further teasing.

Truth to tell, I had forgotten about the bot until telaso posted about it. One of the advantages of using Eaymon's vps is that I can leave a demo running without worrying about computer resources.

Following reading telaso's post I visited the demo. It has lost c.35% of its starting value.

Doesn't look like a goer to me.

Yes I would still like to try the stoploss Steve. I've been trading for 25+ years and I like to prove things out for myself. But I've done very little basket trading. I will be crawling here with sincere apologies if it fails.
