Which of the 4 TMA Plots are you referring to?garyfritz wrote:Look at the TMA plot on that chart you posted. Go long when TMA is heading up, go short when it's heading down, and you'd do pretty well with just that. Especially if you apply a bit of careful filtering so you only reverse when the market starts to confirm the move. Would be very interesting to test that with a bunch of pairs and see how the portfolio behaved.
And you are referring to the angle when you say up or down...correct?garyfritz wrote:I'm looking at the green TMA plot in your recent post
hehe...i know what you mean...but it would be a great addition to our toolkit if we could have something like that...garyfritz wrote:Sorry, no. No progress on the backtester yet. Life keeps happening. I spend more time than I should, just trying to keep up with the developments here.
Um, I guess so. If the green TMA value is increasing, that means the angle is heading up, and vice versa. It's not perfect because there are places where it jitters up/down for a little, which was why I said it might benefit from making sure the market was heading that direction.NeoTrader wrote:And you are referring to the angle when you say up or down...correct?garyfritz wrote:I'm looking at the green TMA plot in your recent post
