Last week was excellent for Goldy, with 17 equity profit closures.

I am going to stress test the lot sizes this week, trading 0.01 lots per $750 of equity.

Another excellent week last week. The next profit target is $14,257 so the demo will be close to tripling its $5,000 starting balance.

Trading 0.01 lots per $750 equity dollops was highly successful but at the cost of uncomfortably low margin percent levels whenever the imbalance between buys and sells became bigger than four trades. At close of business on Friday night there were 11 buys and 6 sells with a margin level percent of 226%. I doubt that I would be trading with the current lot sizing if this was a live account.

On the plus side, if the starter pending order filled and the market continued in the direction of the order then the profit target was hit quickly. I lost count of the number of times Goldy closed the position because this happened to often. There were 17 on Friday alone.

Worked really well Steve. A bit worrying on the DD but that is not uncommon and certainly a very nice recovery - my 10k demo up around 1100 $ for the week. It will be interesting to see it perform in more "normal" times when gold is not on a rampage. Nicely done.

I seems to me that gold is pretty much always on the rampage. Given the exploits of Trump this week, we would have expected it to rise hugely against the dollar. Which it did. Then it fell. Then it rose again. Then it fell again..........................

Let us hope it continues to be so volatile.
