Hi everyone.
Does anyone use in Desky the "All trades belong to a single basket" function?
If so, could you please share the set file?

I'm still struggling with this function. I want to use only BasketTergetPips, but if I leave the BasketTargetCash option empty, or enter any value there, after initializing the Desky, EUR 20.00 or EUR 30.00 appears on the display, completely randomly. It's as if the function has taken on a life of its own. I don't understand it at all, before, at least the entered value appeared on the display and stayed there for a while, a day or two, or something like that. Then it changed itself, for example, to EUR 1.00, EUR 20.00, etc.

I looked at the code again and have an idea. First though, does Desky close the trades when this strange cash target is reached? This is to make sure the problem is not merely a display prob, because I know exactly what to do about it if so.

It does not matter how much I glare at the code. I cannot see why BasketTargetCash suddenly gets changed.

Try this workaround. Set BasketTargetCash to a value that can never be reached - 12,000,000 or so. Then listen for the scream you will hear from me when you report that BasketTargetCash is suddenly 20 again.

Hi all.
So this is a frustrating mystery. I have tried 300 before and that is a value I could not reach and after some time again 30, respectively 20.
But now it is running continuously for the 4th day and the value is still 30 (even though I have 75 in the setup), which is still quite usable for me.

I have tried a work around so download V 1u from Desky's thread.

A Global Variable is a tiny file that lives on the hard drive and that .mql4 knows how to access. When you run Desky he stores your BasketTargetCash value in the GV. This value is read from the GV back into BasketTargetCash every time that input is used. When your zero input value is mysteriously reset to the usual 20 or 30, this should reset BasketTargetCash to your input value.

You can view the value stored in the GV by pressing the F3 key. This opens a window containing all the GV's set. You should see this one at, or close to, the top of the list. You will see then name, "Basket target cash" and your input value in the, "Value" field.

I don't really like this solution but it is the only one I can come up with. Sing out if this allows LUC to come back to the party. Let me know if this solves the problem.

yes I heard the scream, but don´t know if it yours or mine is.
I'm sorry, but when I open the global variables with F3, the BasketTergetCach item is not in the list, nor is Baskettargetpips. On Friday, BTC changed to 5.00 by itself. Today, when I opened the Desky settings and just closed it (BTC set to -100) and suddenly only the BTP value is on the display! So I changed the value to 0 and the display still only shows the BTP value. So now it works correctly, but I have no idea why BTC is behaving so erratically. If it stays like this, everything is great, let's hope so. But how is it possible that GV list does not contain BTC or BTP values?
BTW: It's probably time to check if I'm using the latest version of the Desky.

Probably not. The display should be showing, "Version 1u" and your chart does not appear to be showing this, unless it is hidden behind the price display.

People forget, and sometimes do not know, that Empty4 does not automatically compile a source code file (.mq4) if the .ex4 file already exists. They assume they are working with the latest version when in fact, the are still using a previous version. This is why I always include a version number when I post a new version.

There are two solutions:

• Right click on Desky (TDesk trading partner EA) in your Navigator window. Select, "Modify" to open the source code in Metaeditor, then press the F7 key to recompile the code.
• Open the data window. Delete "TDesk Trading Partner EA.ex4". Shut down and restart the platform. Empty4 will notice that there is an uncompiled source file and compile it.

We all know about my lack of attention to detail so I have checked that I uploaded the correct file. I did.

I was actually using the old version Desky. after updating to 1u I can see BasketTargetCach in global variables and the correct value is there. So it seems to be working properly now.

Please give the latest version a few days and then confirm that it is working. Assuming it is.
