Hi Steve
Version 2c still has this code in one place
//Down histo buffer
v = iCustom(NULL, tf, "10.2 WOH 2x1 5.22", barsToProcess, 1, shift);
if (v < 0) return(v);
needs to be
//Down histo buffer
v = iCustom(NULL, tf, "10.2 WeeklyOpenHistogram 2x1 4.29", barsToProcess, 1, shift);
if (v < 0) return(v);
I think

Steve, I thought you wanted to bring the GetWOH in-house (see my PM a week or two ago) and Bob updated the WOH to version 6.26 recently (though I have not yet looked at the changes)
Cheers

Re: 10.2; the auto-trading EA is born.
Hi guys, first time I post here however I'm here since the first days.
I think there is a bloop in the code of the H1 trades.
Line 1728 a bias is up if bid > monthlypivot and weeklypivot (reverse for down)
However when the ea looks for H1 long trade (line 1574) we check if bias = up and if the bid < to the weekly pivot which can't be possible if bias == up
I hope I'm not wrong

Code: Select all
if (Bid > MonthlyPivot && Bid > WeeklyPivot) bias = up;
if (Bid < MonthlyPivot && Bid < WeeklyPivot) bias = down;
Code: Select all
if (type == OP_BUY)
{
if (bias == up)
{
if (Bid > BbLower)
{
if (iLow(NULL, BbTimeFrame, 0) < BbLower || iLow(NULL, BbTimeFrame, 1) < BbLower)

if (Bid < WeeklyPivot && WeeklyPivot - Bid >= (MinimumRangeTakeProfit * Point))
{
SendLong = true;
TradeOrigin = BbRangeTrade;//TradeOrigin is used by CalculateTakeProfit()
magic = BbRangeTradeMN;
comment = BbRangeTradeComment;

Not a clue Yoi. Just because I coded the EA doesn't mean I now understand the code or what it does. I cannot see where the bias comes into the BB H1 trend trading stuff.Yoi wrote:Hi guys, first time I post here however I'm here since the first days.

No you are not. I pointed that out and fixed it a few posts ago. I believe it is in the Page 1 version now since Steve said he put it there.Yoi wrote: I hope I'm not wrong
I still haven't seen any BB trades yet. Dunno if it's the markets, the EA or just Steve.SteveHopwood wrote: Not a clue Yoi. Just because I coded the EA doesn't mean I now understand the code or what it does. I cannot see where the bias comes into the BB H1 trend trading stuff.

Re: 10.2; the auto-trading EA is born.
Just an update. I have been running 10.2A for two weeks now. I have manually taken profits near session closings , Asia, Europe, and USA when trades are well into profit. Have not had any large floating negatives or draw downs. The 5k demo account is just under 6.5 k with 8 open positions and -$36 floating loss. I am basically using the EA to enter trades and then making decisions when to manually close. Going live next week on an small test account.

Hi Panamamike,
Sounds like a great result - well done & good luck on live
Which EA is for 10.2A? I didn't think that was done yet
