IMHO you should have a line in all your EAs and threads with your paypal details for voluntary contributions. It is not solicitation for money but a way of expressing appreciation for all your hard work. It may be the case that some people would like to send you a gift for Xmas and PayPal would be the ideal way of doing this. A large number of coders are already doing this.

This is a very kind idea astral and I am most grateful. I shall act on this.
A career as a not-famous pianist and piano teacher has left me with little money in the bank. Lots of happiness. Shed-loads of satisfaction. Bugger-all cash. I would not change a thingy, but there are very good reasons why I try to master the Forex train wreck.
If the coders are not comfortable with this (and perhaps in addition to anything you may with to give a coder), I think it would be a nice idea to set up a "Just Giving" donation page to a couple of popular charities, and users could set aside some money there. This would be especially nice if you're using an EA which is making you some money.
If you think about it this way.....I've been using The Beast (for example) for around 10 months now. Donating just £10 for the use of this EA is considerably cheaper than paying a coder or buying a commerical EA, yet if 25 regular users did that, it would be £250 to a worthwhile charity. Even if the EA never makes anyone a dime, at least someone will end up benefiting from it
Forex is driven entirely by a desire to make money, I think it would be a good balance of this to set just a small amount aside for a worthwhile cause, in return for the hours of work that people put into these robots for free. I'm not trying to detract from the money the coders deserve, but I'm guessing that Steve/Squalou etc are not doing the coding for the money, otherwise they wouldn't be spending all their time gifting us EAs and indicators!
Just a thought and I would be more than happy to contribute to such a fund, we get a heck of a lot for free here.

I've heard a lot of good things about that charity for people with "OCCD" -- what's it called again? Whatever it's called, I certainly think we should start there...

We could setup page with a couple of charities or even adopt a single charity as a forum community.
Like I mailed Steve, adopting a single smaller charity like a local children hospital might get people more involved, give it a bit more 'face' so to speak.
Steve I think you should definitely have a link in each of your EA threads with your Paypal donation link. Guys, if Steve has helped you out in any way hook that brother up! On top of it all he's built a fabulous home for us here. Who's the man!
