OK, understand this is 4000 lines of code and I have no idea what 99.8% of it is doing.

But... it looks to me like it doesn't pay attention to RecoveryTrailingStopAt unless UseRecoveryTrailingStop is set. So they don't interfere with each other -- UseRecoveryTrailingStop *enables* RecoveryTrailingStopAt. If UseRecoveryTrailingStop = true, then you should have a valid value in RecoveryTrailingStopAt.

And BTW set UseRecoveryTrailingStop to true or false, not 1 or 0.

I am following your work for some time but I never spoke to you because... because... well, because I read what you usually put in the bottom of your posts regarding newbies and stupid questions, so I didn't want to be the trigger for you to loose any time saying I was an idiot!

So first things first, and since I am finally posting: Great work, thank you very much for your time and generosity.

Now for my problem...

It's about MPTM and how it manages specified pairs. I had this problem before but I disregarded it and just used the "Manage all trades" option instead. But I am dealing with some more "dangerous" trades and the general parameters I have in MPTM (that are set for all trades) don't work so well with them, so I would like to use certain parameters with selected pairs in order to manage the general forex pairs and then use another MPTM to manage those other ones.

I am on "Forex.com" and it allows to trade CFDs and some goods. I didn't try the goods yet, but MPTM is not working for selected "pairs" (they are not pairs, just calling them that to be easier) like "AUS200" or "US_OIL". I add those strings into the "PairsToManage" field, so I add "AUS200" and "US_OIL". But when trading, it's obvious MPTM is not catching them because it doesn't put any BE or SL (it does so if I use "Manage all trades".

I guess it has something to do with naming of the CFDs, but my knowledge of MQL4 is certainly not enough to solve the problem. I put some "Alerts" printing the string names and stuff like that to try to figure out where the problem would be, but just got stuck.

I don't know about other brokers, but Forex.com adds "FXF" in front of every forex pair, so AUDUSD becomes AUDUSDFXF. It doesn't add "FXF" to those CFDs or to the goods, so the name remains US_OIL, AUS200, CORN, SOYBEAN, etc Maybe it has something to do with that?

Do you think you can fix MPTM that so it can work with those? Or point me to the portion of code than prevents it from working? OR... just tell me I am an idiot and this is some stupid user error?

One solution may be to use MANAGE BY MAGIC NUMBER. Use a different magic number for AUS200, SOYBEAN, etc and use another MPTM ea to manage these. Or use MANAGE BY TRADE COMMENT.

Sorry, but i can not find the explanation about "usedinamicpipspforit" in (Global order closure settings in MPTM)what it is for? and if i set it to true pipspertrade=5 will be executed.
does it will moving my stop loss every five pips i earned?

i have a version of an ea running and am inserting alerts to locate problems, but it does not show any alerts anymore. how did i turn off alerts, and how do i get them running again? i inserted :
Alert("start program"); immediately after init and start, but they do not work on this ea, although the comment lines update and display properly, and another ea still posts alerts. i have tried to reinitialize both the ea and the computer, change to another ea and do not know why it does not seem to run. anybody with an idea?
it also looks like the program does not reload every time i compile it!

But I still have not been able to figure out what the '5' in

When you run an EA you can choose to load a .set file which is a saved file of someones settings for the EA. Once you load up the .set file your settings for the EA will change to the saved settings stored in the .set file.
