Hm, Paul, I don't see a likely stack problem there. It's just a different way of getting periodic updates. Do you see a specific issue that might cause stack growth?

Steve, the "only endless-loop while basket is open" is a good idea -- just make sure you still get into start() occasionally so you can OPEN a new basket.

I suppose you have to gain the occasional bit of revenge because I occasionally mention the self-banning event.

V 1l is in post 1. All this does is stop the endless loop if there are no trades open. Those of you who can, go to the end of the file and add the second of these two lines of code - the first is already there.

This is a basket trader that does not send individual stops, so the input is not needed. I leave code like this in place in case it becomes needed further down the line. It is not causing a problem.

The bot took no trades at all last week with MinimumPercentOfBasket = 50 and AllowAdditionsToBasket = true but OnlyAddToOpenBasket also true. Safe, but not a lot of interest or profit.

I reset the bot tonight with AllowAdditionsToBasket = true and OnlyAddToOpenBasket = false. Instant trade on one pair - can't remember which and the demo in on my trading machine in the music room.

Sounds terribly grand doesn't it as in, 'The Music Room, overlooking Lake Lucerne'? If only. It does overlook a pretty country lane, but is not even large, let alone grand - something I am hoping that trading will eventually sort out. We shall see.

Last week I also used AllowAdditionsToBasket = true and OnlyAddToOpenBasket = false. The bot had an excellent week. I hope you get your grand music room sooner rather than later.

With the BJS basket trader;

I like the idea a lot and have a demo running with it. I am trading the original 10.2 EA with success live but exiting manually a fair amount.

With the basket trader, often in strong markets the daily pivot will not be crossed as significant retraces are rare. Could we add a choice to add a position when the previous day H/L get taken out in the direction of the trend by a user defined number of pips? That way if we did not get in on the retrace across the pivot, we can get the breakout below S/R. I would use this only in cases where the strength for the pair is +-0.6 and all 3 pivots are lined up. I think it would be well worth it to test. Those not interested in testing or changes can always disable the function. I would likel set up two demos with identical config except for this addition. After a month we can see if it adds to the bottom line.

I mentioned the idea in a PM to Steve, he wanted input from Jem and the forum before making any additions/changes.
