For the record, TB has been an unmitigated disaster for me. I would have to be threatened with shooting before I would trade the damn thing live ever again.

I coded what is here because morgb gave me the idea that TB + Slope might be a useful combination. For sure, the bloody bot cannot do worse than it did for me.

So, Pippo et al, I repeat, I do not care what you think. If you do not like what is going on here then sod off and play elsewhere. There are lots of elsewheres to play here. This thread is about allying TB to Slope and seeing what comes out at the end. I do not expect this to be anything useful, but merely whingeing that this thread is not about The Beast - whichever version of the umpteen Beasts said contributor is whingeing about - is useless. Worse than useless, it irritates me because I have to read the damn post. Now ask yourself this: Steve is tired tonight; he is called on yet again to read a pointless post in one of his threads; how chuffed do you think he feels?

So tex here is the setup file I am using but I am trading a 4 hour time period in small lots now live on my micro-account. It made a 196 pips today and I will take that. I am NOT "recommending" anybody do that and I am just stating that for me with my vast back experience with this bot I feel comfortable trading this white box live. It has been more successful than any bot to date on my machine and there have been more than a few. So this file is for a four hour time frame and has a very large white pips box setting of 65. This is a white box only set file. I am done with the Beast and have no further interest other than what I am seeing with this facet of its former self. It just has to much DD and that is just one thing you cannot have in a Bot. That is not true with trading the white box. This set file has the commodity filters turned off. I am trading in very small penny lot sizes. It also has a default stop of 200. I am not worried about a stop other than for an emergency. I will be managing any DD issues manually. Break even is set at 40/5. I have not measured it yet but I suspect that the white box with this large of a pips box setting is getting entries similar to where I would be entering with my SDC setup in my thread. So we might further enhance the concept around a simple standard deviation channel indicator that changes its slope peak to trough with a daily look back period. Getting in at the bottom or top of the channel might give us an even better entry. It would be very similar to the white box but you would see it automatically adjusting to the trend of the time period being traded. Very simple.

Slowkey, how are you handling profitable trade exit other than the breakeven at 40/5, couldn't see anything obvious in the settings?

*edit* Sorry, once the trades started coming through I could see that they are TP at the magenta line.

Slowkey, you seem to prefer ChaserL over UseMax. Is there any particular reason for that? Do you regularly optimize the settings? I am not into the Beast that much, this is just a technical question, I am not sure how people do this on a regular basis but the question here is whether it is worth to do so or just should not bother with it (but use the UseMax function)
