What about someone makes an indi, which would show the Median price/slope between two time frames?( H1 and M5, or D1-H1 ....) That median price/number can be used as our take profit. For entry point, we may try standard deviation. Actually standard deviation x 2, which accumulates over 95% of the move ?

Hi Gary,
Frankly I like this finding. Bunker did a great job indeed.
It proves again that TMA slope has internal big potential.
Just to gather your attention on the below pic to go more deep on analyzing the stretch.
Most of the currencies have more than 1.5 stretch values atm.
My impression is that a big correction is coming.
So, I believe (but didn't made any research) large values may signal correction or reversal.
What do you think?

Thanks for your post markot,

I like the scalping idea. Have you been testing it manually ?

I agree the indi would be a great help and we can always ask for it (on the indi thread). However, I hesitate to ask for an indi before we can actually prove its value ;) . Steve was kind enough to program Stretchy which trade based on the D1 – H1 gap. Let’s see those results first. The genius coders on this superb Forum are kindly giving their time for free and I wouldn’t want to waste their time if this strategy doesn’t have merits.

It looks like people are having success with Stretchy. My version is not so successful and I suspect it’s because I customized every user options  . OOTB seems like a better setup.

Please keep us posted with your scalping results. That would be another good sale’s pitch for the indi if this strategy is also successful.

Cheers!

Hello Armen,
Thanks for your post.

If I may give you my 2 pips:

I use NT indi to analyse the slope history on several pairs and l see a lot of stretch > 1.5 that go back in the trend (trend resumption).

What I found (and currently testing) is that when PA retraces below the MA30 (Linear Weighted) on H4 or 120 MA (LW) on H1, most of the time it indicated a reversal.

I’ll keep watching!

Cheers!

Hello Fellow Traders,

Like many of you, I have been analyzing all the different types of information provided by the Slope. By now, we know the “Trend” and “strong trend” definitions and we also came up with the “trend resumption” (rubber band theory) and thanks to Mr. SH, we now have an EA (Stretchy) that seems to have legs….with some adjustments required.

I’ve been wondering lately how we can use the Slope to predict trend reversal. Here are my findings:

If we use the Slope at one lower timeframe than the chart itself (H4 Slope for D1 chart, or H1 Slope for H4 chart) we can actually look for divergence. One image worth a 1000 words to here is 2000 words.

Thoughts ? Comments ?

Cheers!

Maybe you can make it work, but I sure couldn't use it. I see quite a few places where the divergence *didn't* work.

Trend Reversal = pivots flipping order. ie dwm to mwd.
Trend Reversal = tma going from above .4 to below -.4 on daily and vice versa

Until those are confirmed then anything else is a retracement IMO. If you want to try and predict a trend reversal sooner than the above confirmations then use a lower TF tma to get in counter trend and hope it turns into a trend reversal on the upper TF tma.

Bunker,

You guys may want to use point and figure to predict trend reversal. See this link: http://www.stevehopwoodforex.com/phpBB3 ... &start=310

Haggadah,

Thank you very much for this link. I sure will test “point and figure” !

So far, I have been pretty lucky with the slope divergence to. For instance, although D1 Slope was above 0.8 on the 23rd (not on the picture) I didn’t trade USDCHF this week because of the divergence on H4 (see picture).

I’ll let you know how it went with P&F.

Cheers!

Hi Bunker,

First of all congratulation for your posts. I will keep on following it.
I really love that indicator in the right up corner of your main screen, where it shows the
H1 H4 D1 solpe values. I tried to find on this forum but somehow I was not succesfull.
Could you please share it or let me know where can I find it ?

Thanks,

Keep it up
