Spyder - how do you know they aren't going to continue and make you another thousand? I'd wait it out and see what it does rather than change things as soon as you see drawdown. Consistency my friend!!

Doesn't stop you from opening another demo and using a different strategy on that.. As long as you only start testing when you know you aren't going to change anything and see it through from beginning to blowup or success.

im having similar issues... large floating profits reversing into drawdowns...sometimes it gets back to profit or breakeven but it is a shame to see the profits not being locked in.


good trailing / MPTM settings required. one demo im running raw with no MPTM has more of this issue. another demo ive got MPTM to close basket at 100 pips which has been working ok .

I've been running baluda now for over a week.

Two instances, both using diff settings.
I have one set on the h4 diff and one set on daily.
This last week was pretty good...at least floating profit wise.
I had the daily set on a $3,000 demo account. Had a couple of negative trades but my lastest string started at a balance of $2,857. I set the opening diff to .8 and the closing diff to .7 (though I would avoid drawdown).

Well I was up about a cool thousand but everything has retraced in the last day or so. Nothing closed as the diffs are still well above 7 (some above 11). I'm still up about 600 but it seems a shame to lose all those $$$.

Anyone have any ideas on better ways to exit these trades other then just the closing diff.
Maybe use the closing diff more as a s/l and some other method (MPTM trail??) to close the winners?

Yeah I've set up a demo in line with Jem's suggestion.
Daily diff with .8 open and .7 close.
Have Steve's MPTM with the pictured settings. Hopefully this will give plenty of room.

Now I guess if the trade manager closes a trade (stops out) and the Baluda parameters are still met then new trades would be opened. So it might end up not making any difference, unless I put in a stop loss other then the close diff.

yes, it does.

update: demo with $100 TP has gone into massive drawdown. maybe we need a 'sleep after basket tp' function like BJeS.

I haven't messed with the threshold setting yet, but if you enable it, wouldn't it wait to cross said threshold before jumping right into another trade after mptm closes your basket?

I don't believe baluda works that way in the diff setting. I believe on "level" it has to "retrace" back down and then renter the zone. But on diff it will take orders as long as the price difference is greater than the diff open.
