Fratelli EA by Dragos and magft

me and another 2 team of traders did an ea for this system .. Actually 3 ea`s in total ...

We figured out how to run backtests on 10 min tf and we backtested the system.

I feel is my duty , as a trader, and member of this community to warn everybody out!!!!!

1 . What we came to see is that the last 2 - 3 months the system has been profitable .
2. Before of that , the system has been a constant looser .
3. The system tested on dukascopy tick data only on the eur/usd , blew the account !!!!!!!!

At the time beeing we are experiencing some strange market conditions.. the system seems to like them and make profits. There is no guarantee that the system will continue to work this way . Actually i am 100% positive that if markets calm down, the system will loose big time ...

Please be aware of this when you make a live trade on a live trading account with REAL money inside!!!!
I strongly suggest to everybody until things will be clearer , to only DEMO TRADE the system !!!!


As a trader , when you click buy...selll it becomes you`re business ... still i felt the need to tell everybody where we are now .

I'm going to guess that once you look at the losing time periods you will find volatility the current POs and stops aren't suited for. The trick will be to find those sweet spots where they are perfectly suited and simply not allow it to take trades in unsuitable conditions.

my friend... I WANT TO BELIEVE... I JUST WANT TO BELIEVE....

but i will not start the curve fitting(also known as optimizing) process... it makes no sence to me.. we allready have 4 indicators givving us the signals... i think that more filtering will make i even worst... Im sorry but this is wat it is .

You had it better the other day!

We've all seen fratelli's system remain pretty consistent as long as it's traded under moderate volatility to create the right size waves. It seems to be the ranging and the high spiking volatility sessions that hamper it a bit. .

Why not do the"not allow" thing manually?

Knowing when not to trade is more important than knowing when to trade.

I completely agree with ya. I find a little time here and there to practice, but with a full time job and 3 very little girls, you can probably guess why i troll the EA threads a bit more than actually trading

That matches up with the results I saw in my post last weekend. My Tradestation implementation of Fratelli looked great in all 3 recommended pairs for the last 3 months, but 2 of the 3 were major losers before that.

I was afraid I'd implemented something wrong. Maybe not...

That matches up with the results I saw in my post last weekend. My Tradestation implementation of Fratelli looked great in all 3 recommended pairs for the last 3 months, but 2 of the 3 were major losers before that.

I was afraid I'd implemented something wrong. Maybe not...

You may be better off with an end of day system!

The amazing stories of fababous riches via day-trading are just that: stories. It mostly ends in financial ruin.

Do not believe me: visit the forums running 5 years, or more; starting from the oldest, browse the threads purveying the trading systems, withess the elations and the depressions as the systems, EA's, etc. go through the phases of being the best thing since sliced bread to turning to dust.

However, day-trading, or short-term trading can work; it just requires greater resources, higher expertise, and greater physical effort. Same as driving a family car vs. a racing car.

Heh, i believe you. I'm keeping it mostly a relaxing hobby for now. A lifetime ago, before i had kids, I used to be a database programmer with VB and SQL server. So even tho i don't program anymore, the "old me" can't help but believe there's always a code solution.
