Flying Slope auto-trading EA

I have been running the 1b since the 30th of July. I only had 4 trades, 3 EURAUD (2 on the 3rd of Aug and one on 6th of Aug) and one open on GBPAUD.
It seems like the first 2 EURAUD trades were on for very short time.
I am running this on Alpari UK OOTB and on 16 pairs on H4. I find it strange that I am not getting more trades.
Any suggestions?

That many? Crikey. There must be something wrong in the code.

It is August. The markets are quiet during August; many traders do not trade at all during August. FS is not a trading tart, so there will be few trades. Open shed-loads of charts to help add extra trades. Look at the balance etc filters and learn how they work; they will cut out a lot of trades if you do not turn them off. Find the shell user guide littered around this forum for more details, or find it in the Coders Hangout.

Many years back I've written a pivot-indicator in which the pivot values ​are ​determined statistically, and not with the classical formulas.
I think that's the only true method of trading pivots...

Post a screen shot of your chart display so I can have a look at the code for an unexpected mix of events.

I am not going to look into this. The EA is on V 1h and you are still using 1d. Because I am a lazy so-and-so and cannot be bothered to notate revision details, I have no idea how many bugs I fixed in succeeding versions.

What I can say definitively is this; I know some of you like to hang on using earlier versions, but if said version had a bug that I subsequently fixed, the fix does not magically transfer itself to your older version.

I meant to add, check your trade exit settings. If you are pretty much ootb, then CloseOnHtfSignal defaults to 'true'and FS will close the trade if the Htf FB is in the opposite direction to the trade or is not actually being set because HigherTimeFrame = 0, which turns off the Htf FB.

This is a bug that needs fixing.

George (White Box Slope) and kwchau have today demonstrated the value of presenting useful bug-reports. The clue here came in the fact that kwchau's screen was showing the Htf FB

If HigherTimeFrame = 0, then the htf FB is still calculated if CloseOnHtfSignal is enabled, which it is by default. It is still not used in the trading decision, so those rapidly opening-closing trades happened because FS found the correct trading conditions based on Slope and the Ltf FB, then found the Htf FB pointing in the opposite direction and so closed the trade.

I just posted what I thought would be a quick fix for this, but have just deleted it, so the three of you who have recently downloaded it might want to hang on for a few minutes. We want the best of both worlds - the ability to close a trade on an opposite direction Htf FB and to leave it out of the trading decision.

V 1h with this enabled coming up as soon as I have worked out how.
