Re: MPTM's new home
This EA seems to be managing my trades but I can't seem to get the properties box to open after it has been attached. So I drop it onto the chart, set the settings up and hit ok. Happy face comes up, trailing stop appears. Great. When I right click screen and hit Expert Advisors>Properties... nothing happens. Does this on my Alpari UK demo and my US live accounts. I can remove the EA. I have multiple screen open but there is no dialog box on any screen and I can continue to navigate around Empty4 so it means no dialog box is open in some other scree. This is a cool EA, btw. Thanks in advance.

I believe Steve codes his EA's that way on purpose. I seem to remember him mentioning its more stable with the crap Empty4 platform. So if you have to make changes to the settings you have to completely reattach the EA. Just make sure you always save your preset file and then you can load it up and make any changes.

Thanks, spyderman. "More stable" means it's a blessing in disguise. I love you guys. Been reading you in FF for over a year now.

Not sure if this will work, but you could try to turn off all experts with the icon on top of Empty4.fxdestroyer wrote:Thanks, spyderman. "More stable" means it's a blessing in disguise. I love you guys. Been reading you in FF for over a year now.
Then the EA should stop processing and you can open props. Give it a try. You might have to wait a bit after you turn off experts.

Yes that worked. Thanks. I don't use EA's and if I did I would probably have known that.AnotherBrian wrote:Not sure if this will work, but you could try to turn off all experts with the icon on top of Empty4.fxdestroyer wrote:Thanks, spyderman. Something I've noticed about price action on a moving day is that when it wants to go, it goes pretty quickly. MOST of the time, a sleepy day will alternate with a really moving day on the EUR/USD. And on the moving days, someone with money gets it started. An especially long 5 min candle will appear as the sharks load up positions, indicating where the market will go. The next few minutes are little guys fighting it out, getting nervous that they went long too early, getting fearful because they are overleveraged and getting chopped out. Then another long 5 min candle as the sharks take the market where they want. In the next 2 or 3 hours, the market will get it's 100-115 pip target, not always but usually, in the direction of those long 5 and 10 min candles. Then the skarks unwind their positions and go count their money. Most of the move is over by London close. Is there an EA coded that will jump into a position based soley on how fast the price moves? Say 5 pips is 1 minute or 15 pips in 5 minutes? To be really ideal, it only opens positions at a certain tim and closes all positions at a certain time.

Never heard of an EA that does that. The first step is to write down the rules - they must be exact, what is a long candle, how is it defined?
If you can do that, an EA could be written (not that I'm offering to code it). This is the biggest problem writing code, defining what you want the computer to do. There is no code function called "ya, but" or "looks good to me". Also, don't expand on the idea here, this is not the thread for this. Just say "OK" and post to

That works, but a quicker way (and less troublesome, as that will stop all other EAs you might have running) is to change timeframe. So, just switch timeframe to something else (5M, H4, doesn't matter), quickly click the smiling face and you can change parameters. Then you can go back to the usual timeframe in case you are using the same chart for something else. I am using the same chart for MPTM and a Dashboard indicator that I like to have on H4, so, I always have to switch back to H4 after changing something in MPTM.AnotherBrian wrote:Not sure if this will work, but you could try to turn off all experts with the icon on top of Empty4.fxdestroyer wrote:Thanks, spyderman. Re: MPTM's new home
Just be careful with this guys. I can't remember where, but I do remember Steve commenting on NOT changing parameters this way with his (and maybe all) EA's as sometimes it glitches the EA. I'm no coder so can't comment directly, but he said to always reload the EA onto the chart from scratch if you want to make changes.
Just an FYI. You might want to PM him to get his thoughts as he may or may not wander by this thread..

You are right spyder.
For any change, thanks to Empty4, you have to drag the EA onto your chart again.
Even if you are able to open EA properties...
By the way, switching TF with Steve's EAs must give you some trouble... I know what I am talking about
Regards
Alex

Re: MPTM's new home
Hi All ,I am using these EA to control my trades and its like holy grail for me. I just want help to figure these out:- I want when the price win 30 points to move SL to 5 points profit and after that each additional 10 points wining move SL 10 points more.so in any time the difference between current price and SL =25 points.
EX. Buy@0.1000
At @0.1030 EA change SL@0.1005
AT @0.1040 EA change SL@0.1015
so all the time there is 25 points difference
Thanks in advance for all
