O, no, that was demo, forgot to mention, I gave the $ just to give an idea of the size of swings. Now it has opened a GBP=USD Long, interesting !alex_forex wrote:Are you trading live Snowman ?
George, I'll keep the 2% risk setting to see where it goes
I trade almost all pairs available, will remove some with the experience.

BTW, I forgot to mention... I added 'long' ago some setting called RecoveryVirtualStop. It's job is for those who like me want to try nanningbob's recovery style.alex_forex wrote:Hi all![]()
See my open trades on demo : I don't know why I got those lot size... 0.01 in the settings....
EDIT : RISK PERCENT = 2
Anyway, nice trades![]()

I explain. Ordinarily, Risk Percent will be used to calculate lot size based on the current stop. The current stop could differ because the bot calculates stops based on pivot lines if no stop is explicitly set.
Now, I want to start recovery (manual entry) at min 100 pips dead, but I want to use a REAL emergency stop at 200 pips. In the usual case of lots from risk percent, I will get lot size calculated from the real stop of 200 pips.
I don't want that and neither do I want a fixed lot size and there is where RecoveryVirtualStop comes in. If set to anything other than zero, it will be the basis used to calc lot size from the Risk Percentage.
You have to set it to zero to use the real stop (either explicit or calculated from pivot lines) as basis for lot size calculation from the Risk Percent. It's your call.
I hope I explained that well enough but futher clarification is available where that came from
In other news, we are going to add automajic entry of recovery trades (at least up to some level) for those who love them. The idea is boiling... we will see. Personally, I find recovery trading suits my personality very well and helps me gain experience with less frustration. That I believe is the real philosophy behind nanningbob's recovery.
Kind Regards,
Alex

Anyone getting those rapidly entered trades that seemed to plague some people? I am curious.

Same here. But down 11 pips on that GBPUSD long. No sweat, my $3000 demo is up $115 since week's openThe_Snowman wrote:O, no, that was demo, forgot to mention, I gave the $ just to give an idea of the size of swings. Don't worry the timeframe. It will trade based on the rules on page 1 regardless of the time frame you are looking at. So it is perfectly safe to shift timeframes with the bot on the chart. In any case, you can change the LowerTimeFrame setting from 4HR to whatever. You can disable Daily chart trend trades in the settings. But then, I don't think you will be running the same bot anymorelaharjaya wrote:"NB10.2 Autotrader has to be applied on any pair you want to trade"

the bugs i mentioned in CalculateTakeProfit() are still there. if you set a manual tp, the first part - if takeprofit > 0 correctly sets the tp to your manual setting. after which any trade origin filter below it overrides your manual setting with a calculated one. you need to encapsulate all the trade origin filters with if (TakeProfit == 0) {origin filters} so they can only calculate the take if the manual entry is 0. also, the breakeven and jumping stops are being forced to true in CalculateTapeProfit which will override the manual user setting and cause alot of the fast closed trades many are seeing.

The overriding (to use jumping/trailing stop) happens if daily slope is > 0.8 or < -0.8. It is a feature not a bug. Actually, it is a feature of the original nanningbob 10.2 system. His buy/sell and hold thingy.blahn wrote:the bugs i mentioned in CalculateTakeProfit() are still there. if you set a manual tp, the first part - if takeprofit > 0 correctly sets the tp to your manual setting. after which any trade origin filter below it overrides your manual setting with a calculated one. you need to encapsulate all the trade origin filters with if (TakeProfit == 0) {origin filters} so they can only calculate the take if the manual entry is 0. also, the breakeven and jumping stops are being forced to true in CalculateTapeProfit which will override the manual user setting and cause alot of the fast closed trades many are seeing.
