Re: Jem's Uber Basket Trading Thread

Hi all sorry if this has been asked but i have read the entire thread and did not see it.

Is it possible to add another pair to the shell ea once up and running, i tried to do this via properties of ea both running (right click ea - properties) and with ea disabled but the property window did not show. I dont want to remove ea and then input the old pairs + new as this would i assume open a whole set of new trades on the pairs i had in the basket before removing the ea.

Any help apprietiated

I had that problem also; when you launch the ShellyNow, leave the pairs information BLANK but all other settings as per your requirement.

Of course you will have to enter trade manually then, or use another EA, BUT you can also exit pairs individually, or enter more pairs, and still the ShellyNow will control the basket contents.

That is what I read on here somewhere, worked OK the few times I tried it, good luck

Is it possible to code an indicators to show the average (period adjustable) weekly/ monthly range for a down and also up weekly/ monthly candle? I think it will shows us how far this week the pair can go in avearge and in return we can fine tune our entry level of the basket or even screen out low potential pairs even though its TMA showing good value.....Just my 2 pips :P

Jasonckb,
Loads of other traders must have thought of the Same idea but right up untill this moment an EA or Indicator based on such an Idea hasn't surfaced yet, but let's not throw away the Idea, maybe some Smart Cookie ;) Like Steve Hopwood, Baluda or NeoTrader might just be coding the EA or an Indicator based on the Above mentioned as we sit thinking of the Next move in here on this thread, so exercise some faith and Patience my Friend.... these guys are AWESOME when they Clue on to an Idea the outcome is Usually a FANTASTIC EA or Indicator to help Traders get a Step ahead of those Pesky Criminals :)

Happy Trading,

I launch to buy: GBPAUD, GBPNZD, EURAUD,AUDNZD
sell: AUDCHF,AUDCAD

Target 80-100 pips per pair as their monthly range still have 100 pips to go for each.

Another idea for other excellent coders to develope...

It can sort out all pairs with slope > 0.X or <-0.X (adjustable say 0.6 or 0.7....) with slope direction and wehter it is currently fulfilling the retracement rules or not. Also it shows how many pips it can go to meet the average weekly/ monthly range (say 20 or 50) so that we can see if it can go further or not....

Hi everyone,

I started reading about this method a few days ago and i must say, some of your results are quite eye catching. So i decided to get a crack at it.

I was setting the templates up and noticed the info template displays the data a bit odd - as you can see bellow. I tried resizing the slope values window but that doesn't help (used 2 different crims)

Any ideas to what's causing this?

Thank you for your help!

It's some odd behavior of our beloved Empty4 Platform. Sometimes it doesn't delete the objects how it should...especially with templates...

Just open the Indicator List (Ctrl+I) and double click on the indicator (in this case SlopeValues) and then click the ok button and do the same with the other indicator.
Then close the Indicator List. It now should show you the values without any ghost values.

hope this helps,

happy trading,
